Shop Floor Control BoM management
The “Shop Floor Control BoM management” application enhances the Shop Floor Control module implementing several features related to Bills of Material management.
BoM Validity Period and Lot Quantity Validity Interval
A BoM is valid in a Manufacturing order only if its pivot start date is within the BoM Validity Period and/or the production quantity is within the lot quantity validity interval; in case an error message is issue to forbid to create and/or confirm the manufacturing order.
The Validity Period feature allows to
manage the changeover from a production version (old BoM) to another one (new
BoM with validity in the future).
The Lot Quantity Validity Interval enables to manage several valid BoM at the same time which usage depends on production lot quantities.
Technical Documents
Technical documents can be stored and assigned to several BoMs.
Document Check-out process is managed: a document checked out can be only changed by the person who did the check out.
Document hierarchy is managed also.
Documents are collected at BoM level and Production order level and displayed on the screen, as shown in the following picture.

It is possible to update components in manufacturing order in draft and confirmed status only
Components Substitution
It is possible to enter a substitute for each BoM item, detailing its code, quantity and unit of measure. When processing manufacturing orders, single component can be substitute: this is useful for managing equivalent components with the main one, entered in the BoM line, in stockout.
