Why Reorder Calculation?

This app automates the creation and management of intelligent, data-driven reordering rules based on historical consumption. By analyzing product movement over a defined number of months, the system calculates average, minimum, critical, and maximum stock levels, which can be used to update the reordering rules. It also notifies responsible users when stock levels fall below the critical threshold.

Average Quantity Calculation

Min/Critical/Max Thresholds

Uses user-defined percentages to calculate minimum stock level, critical stock level, and maximum stock level.

Integration with Reordering Rules

Updates or creates reordering rules with computed values.

Automated Notifications

Creates activities for users in the "Product Quantity Manager" group when stock reaches or falls below the critical level.

Historical Insight

Allows users to choose how many months of data to consider for calculation.

Duplicate Check

Prevents multiple reorder configurations for the same product-location combination.

Install the Reorder Calculation Module

Create a Reorder Calculation

Navigate to Inventory > Configuration > Reorder Calculation

Add a new record with the product, location, number of months to analyze, and minimum, critical, and maximum percentage thresholds.

Outgoing stock history for the selected product over the given months is retrieved, the average quantity is calculated, and the minimum, critical, and maximum quantities are derived using their respective percentages.

Note that the analysis uses full past calendar months. For example, if today is March and three months are selected, it uses February, January and December.

Post to Reordering Rules

Clicking the Post button creates or updates a reordering rule for the given product and location with the computed quantities, updating it if a rule already exists for that product at the location.
