MAC seal compatibility announced by Monetico
Monetico informed merchants that the MAC seal must strictly follow its technical documentation and that new parameters are being added to payment notifications. This version is ready: no change will be needed on your side when Monetico adds them.
- All received parameters are sealed, including the ones the module does not know yet (future Monetico parameters) — §4.3.
- Empty fields included in the seal, as required by §4.3 (« valued or not »): no more intermittent rejections for customers without e-mail.
- UTF-8 encoding of the seal, as required by §4.2: accented characters (é, è, €…) no longer break the payment confirmation.
- Compliant acknowledgement sent to Monetico (
version=2 / cdr, plain text), even for unexpected notifications. - Strict MAC key check: invisible characters from copy-paste are detected when saving the configuration.
Other improvements
- Payments are created in accounting with the real Monetico payment date.
- A payment accepted after a first refused attempt is now correctly confirmed in Odoo.
- A late cancellation notification can no longer cancel a confirmed payment.
- Automatic reconciliation job enabled by default to recover lost notifications.
- Improved 3D Secure 2.0 order context (billing and shipping addresses).
- Authorization number, masked card, payment date and refusal reason displayed on the transaction.

Description
Monetico is a french payment gateway module, developed by the french and canadian bank group Crédit-Mutuel (CM), CIC and Desjardins. Monetico is a more modern and up-to-date payment solution which replaces the CyberMUT and CM-CIC payment gateway (french payment solutions). Monetico includes all electronic transactions involved in card payment management (debit, credit, prepaid, etc.) and related transactions, along with the management of information exchanges between card issuers, cardholders, merchants and acquirers. It also covers the technologies that allow transactions made by phone or on in-store terminals, the Internet, mobile devices or other technological media.
This solution is in the top 10 of the biggest e-payment company. More than 400,000 merchants uses the Monetico solution everyday, as Boulanger or Cdiscount (well-known e-commerce websites in France).
The Monetico Payment module for Odoo allows usage of Monetico payment gateway on Odoo. Your customers will automatically be redirected to Monetico payment gateway while they will validate their order and will be able to pay using Visa or Mastercard.

- Monetico is a fully functional payment gateway and provides many nationals or internationals credit cards (depending on your Monetico contract):
- CB / Visa
- EuroCard / MasterCard
- American Express (you should sign a contract with them)
- PayPal (you should sign a specific contract)
Installation and configuration
Setting up Monetico is simple, fast, and perfectly integrated with Odoo.
- Before installing the Monetico module for Odoo, you must open an account with the Monetico service: https://www.monetico-paiement.fr/fr/contact.html
- Remember to configure your CGI2 return URL {your url}/payment/monetico/ipn
- Requires the Invoicing / Accounting app (the module depends on account_payment) and a bank journal on the provider.
- To use deferred capture or card saving, the corresponding options must be enabled by Monetico on your TPE.
- To set up Monetico, just go to Invoicing / Accounting > Configuration > Payment Providers, choose Monetico and enter the following information (MAC key, TPE, company code, return URLs, 3D Secure preference):

Payment Method
After completing the details of the shipping and billing, the next step is to validate the order. You can see Monetico as a method of payment. Select it and click Pay Now. After that, you will be redirected to the Monetico site.
Payment pages
Once the payment method is selected, the customer clicks Pay Now and will be redirected to the Monetico payment page to complete the payment process.
The Monetico payment pages are available in 9 languages, including english and french. Depending on your Monetico contract, the payment can be processed with these currencies:
- Euros - EUR (â¬)
- Dollars - USD ($)
- Pounds Sterling - GBP (£)
- Swiss francs - CHF
Order Confirmation
Once the payment is validated, the customer will be automatically redirected to Odoo, and the order status will be updated.
