POS Payment Method Restriction For User

In odoo any user can see payment methods which have rights of POS, using our app the user can only see the payment methods which are allocated to them.

  • Display a request for a payment method message if the admin has not assigned any payment method to the user.
  • You can assign multiple payment methods to any user.
  • You can assign more than one payment method to a single user.

Working Process

Configuration

After installing the app, configure it from settings.

Go to Setting→User & companies→Groups

Now create a user groups to allow

Here, create a user group to whom you want to allow payment methods. If you do not select any users, they will not show in the allowed user field in the POS payment method.

After creating a user group, create payment methods such as bank, cash, etc

Go to POS→ configuration→ Payment method

When you create a payment method, you will notice a new field labeled 'Allow user.' Here, you can select the users to whom you want to grant access to this payment method.

After creating payment method configure it in Setting

Go to POS→setting→ payment method→

select payment methods which you have created now.

Create POS order, in the payment you can see that the user will see only allowed payment method here

Request payment method to admin

"If the admin has not assigned any payment methods to the user, the user will see a message that says, 'You do not have any authorized payment methods; please contact the admin to enable them.'"

Can I assign multiple payment methods to a user?

Ans: Yes, you can assign multiple payment methods to any user.

Can I assign one payment method to multiple users?

Ans: Yes, you can assign more than one payment method to a single user.

Who has the authority to assign payment methods to users?

Ans: Users with administrative rights for the Point of Sale (POS) can assign payment methods to users.

Is this feature restricted to users or admins only?

Ans: This feature is restricted to users who belong to specific user groups.

What happens if I don't assign any payment method to a user?

Ans: If no payment method is assigned to a user, they will not see any payment methods available. They will also receive a message instructing them to contact their admin to assign a payment method.
