CRM SEQUENCE ID

A new field called CRM ID has been introduced in the Sales Order module.Search and filter sales orders based on the originating opportunity.Improve alignment between the CRM and Sales departments.

This ensures traceability between the CRM pipeline and the Sales module, allowing teams to:

- Maintain context for sales negotiations or customer follow-ups.

Workflow

A unique CRM ID is auto generated or manually entered in the CRM when a NEW opportunity is created.



Sales Order Creation

When a Sales Order is created as a result of a closed-won opportunity, the CRM ID from that opportunity is manually or automatically entered the CRM ID field in the Sales Order.



Search & Reporting

Sales Orders can be searched or filtered using the CRM ID, enabling teams to trace

The CRM Sequence is an Odoo extension designed to automatically assign a unique, sequential number (or identifier) to each CRM Lead or Opportunity as it is created. This sequence can be used for internal tracking, reporting, or specific business processes that require a distinct numerical order for your sales pipeline.

Typically, no. The sequence numbers are assigned only to new leads or opportunities created after the module is installed and configured. Existing records will not automatically receive a sequence number
