Advance Global Search
Global Search Module Overview.
The Advance Global Search module offers comprehensive search capabilities across the entire database for admin users. This feature empowers admins to search through any table and character column in the database. Upon entering a search term, the module generates a list of results containing links to the corresponding records, along with their table and column names.

Installing the Advance Global Search add-on in Odoo.
To set up the Advance Global Search add-on in Odoo, begin by accessing the Odoo Apps menu. Clear any pre-existing filters from the search field. Proceed to search for the "Advance Global Search" add-ons. Once you find the specific add-on you're looking for, select it to commence the installation procedure.
New Search Icon Integration in Odoo Backend.
After installing the 'Advance Global Search' module, a new search icon is included in the header of the Odoo backend interface. This icon can be accessed from any screen within the application.
Global Search Popup Functionality.
When the search icon is clicked, a Global Search popup appears, allowing users to enter search terms and initiate the search process.
Displaying Search Results for Term in Global Search Feature.
As depicted in the screenshot below, when the user searches for the term 'S00007', the global search feature displays all relevant values found in the database, along with the corresponding tables and columns.
Minimum Character Requirement for Global Search Inputs.
Validation has been implemented to ensure that users input a minimum of 4 characters for their search terms in order to optimize database performance, as global search calls are resource-intensive.

The 'Advance Global Search' module offers convenient and unrestricted searching capabilities across the entire database. Upon installation, users can immediately utilize the search feature from any screen, as demonstrated in the screenshot below. It's important to note that this functionality is available exclusively to admin users due to its bypassing of security restrictions, such as access rules and multi-company constraints.
