Twilio SMS helps you integrate & manage Twilio SMS account operations from Odoo.

Setup & Configuration

• Download the Twilio module
• Extract the downloaded file
• Upload the extracted directory into your Odoo module/addons directory
• Restart your instance of Odoo
• Log in as an administrator
• Navigate to: settings >> installed modules and search 'Twilio' in the search field

Configure User Access Rights

Configure Twilio Account

• Goto Twilio SMS app > Configuration > Twilio Accounts menu
• Create a new account and fill in all required information.
• API credentials information
• Account SID, Auth Token, and From Phone Number, which you can get from the Twilio account.
• Login to Twilio > Account Menu > Manage Account Menu > General Setting. There is Account SID and Auth Token so copied them and inserted them into Odoo.
• To get from mobile number go to Develop > Phone Number > Manage > Active Numbers. There is a number so copied it and add in Odoo..
• Other/General information
• Test connection mobile number: insert here your mobile for testing connection with Twilio.
• After, Click on the "Test Connection" button to send a test SMS to the given mobile number
• After, Refresh the screen to check the account status

Users can create Twilio SMS templates

• Goto Twilio SMS App > Configuration > Twilio SMS Template menu
• Create a new SMS template and fill up all the required information

Users can create Twilio SMS groups

• Goto Twilio SMS App > Configurations > Twilio SMS Groups menu
• Create a new SMS group and fill up all the required information.

Send SMS to recipients

• Goto Twilio SMS App > SMS Menu > Twilio Send SMS menu
• Create a new SMS record and fill up all the required information
• Select an SMS account for sending a message
• SMS Template: You can select a predefined SMS template so don't need to write the same message multiple time
• Message: You can write your message to send to your contacts
• Send SMS To:
• Contact: You can send an SMS to a single contact
• Multiple Contact: You can send an SMS to multiple contacts
• SMS Group: You can send messages to group (which have multiple contacts)
• Click on the "Send SMS" button to send a message to your contacts
• Twilio Information: After sending messages to contacts, you will get the information about how many messages success/failed, the total price(charged by Twilio)

Show Twilio SMS logs

• Goto Twilio SMS App > SMS menu > Twilio SMS Log menu.
• After sending the messages to contacts, the user is shown the history of messages
