Advanced Kanban and Form View Stage Progression with Reason Capture for Odoo
Now you can control capturing reasons for backward, forward, or both directions when transitioning stages.
Introduction / Features

This module is used to track stages and prompt for reasons when moving to the next or previous stage. Now, users can configure the module for various models such as CRM, Tasks, etc., and add dynamic validation to both kanban and form views.

The major benefit of this module is having complete control over the direction of stage transitions. Users can choose to request reasons for backward, forward, or both movements, tailored to specific models.
How to use

To enable this feature, You can click on Stage Step Configuration menu.When creating a new configuration record, it will prompt for the name, model, and action that need to be configured.

Once the configuration is complete, reload the page and navigate to the chosen models, open the kanban/form view, and attempt to revert any record to a previous or next stage. The system will prompt you to provide a reason before allowing the record to be moved back.

You can review stored reasons by opening the record and checking the chatter history.
Note

This module will only work with dynamic stages, such as in CRM and Task, and stage movements must be initiated from the kanban or form view.
