COD Crafters Multi-Company Base

Production/Stable License: LGPL-3

This module enhances the multi-company management functionality in Odoo for COD Crafters. It offers a more granular approach to managing company access within the Odoo environment.

Abstract

Odoo's traditional multi-company setup allows for a single company field (`company_id`) on certain models, which can be used to:

  • Limit access to records to a specific company if set.
  • Allow access to all companies if the field is not set.

This module enhances this by providing more refined control over company access. For example, you can grant access to records for Company A and B, but not for Company C.

This module serves as a foundational implementation, supporting other modules that extend multi-company behavior in specific areas. For instance, to extend multi-company support to products, you can install the `product_multi_company` module.
