Abilium Telegram Integration
Setup
In order to get this app to work, you need to create a telegram bot. Follow these steps to create a bot and link it to your odoo database:
Telegram Bot Creation
- Search for @BotFather in Telegram
- Send him a message and continue with his help to create your own telegram bot used for messaging from your odoo
- Copy the bot token and paste it to Odoo under Settings > Technical > System Parameters in "telegram.token". (You must activate developer mode for this step)
- Remember the Name of your newly created bot, you are going to use this everytime you want to link another user with your odoo
Setup your user profile
- In Telegram, search for @RawDataBot and send him a message
- Click on start
- In the response, look for "chat" and find the nested "id"
- Copy this value to your odoo user profile in "Telegram Chat Id"
- Now click on the telegram icon to the right of the field and you should instantly receive the first message from Odoo
Setup Webhook
- In Odoo under Settings > Technical > Scheduled Actions, locate the cron job called "Telegram: Api Set Webhook"
- Run it manually. It will tell your telegram bot where to find your odoo database and you can now respond to calendar invitations directly from telegram
