Restore tax grouping visibility directly on your invoices

Overview

In earlier versions of Odoo, tax grouping was a native feature that allowed users to view a consolidated breakdown of taxes on each invoice. In the current version, this capability was removed from the system core, leaving no direct access to that information through the standard interface.

The account_tax_grouped module restores this feature by integrating it directly into invoices, making the tax grouping applied to each document available at all times. This is especially valuable for tax reviews, accounting reconciliations, and internal audits.

Configuration

1. Tax grouping view on the invoice

After installing the module, open any invoice and you will see the tax grouping reflected directly on the document. For invoices generated after installation, this information will appear automatically at the time of creation.

2. Updating previous invoices, "Recompute tax line" action

To include tax grouping on invoices that existed before the module was installed, go to the invoice list, select the documents you want to update, and run the available "Recompute tax line" action. This recalculates the tax lines and incorporates the tax grouping information into the selected documents.

3. Result, Invoice view with tax grouping

Once the action is executed, the invoice will display the tax grouping information correctly. From this point on, all the tax data needed for queries, reviews, or exports will be available directly from the invoice view.
