ZRA Smart Invoice — Base (Zambia)
The free configuration layer for the AminiTech ZRA Smart Invoice suite. Connect to your VSDC, enter your taxpayer identity, validate customer TPINs and flip the transmission switch — then let the paid apps do the declaring. On its own the Base fiscalises nothing.
Configure once — the paid apps do the rest
Set the connection up here, then install ZRA Invoicing, POS or Stock to declare documents through it. The Base declares nothing itself.
Configure once, in one place
One settings page holds everything the suite needs: your VSDC connection for Sandbox and Production, your 10-digit TPIN, the 3-character branch ID, the device serial, and the Initialize Device / Test Connection buttons. Set it up, and every paid app declares through this connection.
Check a customer’s TPIN before you invoice
Every contact gains a Check TIN (ZRA) button that validates the TPIN against the ZRA and writes back the registered taxpayer name, a Valid/Invalid badge and the date checked. A thirty-second check that prevents a rejected declaration later.
Three roles, credentials only admins can see
The Base installs the “ZRA Smart Invoice (Zambia)” privilege with three nested roles — User, Manager and Administrator. Only an Administrator sees the VSDC settings and keys; a multi-company rule keeps each company’s data to itself.

Is the Base really free, and configuration-only?
Yes on both. It stores your VSDC connection and identity, validates TPINs, and carries the transmission switch. It declares no invoice, sale or stock on its own — add a paid app for that.
Do I need a VSDC before I install this?
Yes. ZRA Smart Invoice is reached through a VSDC you run yourself (a Java bridge, e.g. http://localhost:8080/zravsdc) or the ZRA’s hosted OSDC. Register your device on the Smart Invoice Taxpayer Portal, point the connector at it, and click Initialize Device.
Where does my data go?
From your database straight to the VSDC or OSDC you configured, and nowhere else. No third-party service sits in between.
Does it handle several companies or branches?
Yes — every setting is per company, each keeps its own number series, and a record rule keeps each company’s data to itself.
ZRA, Smart Invoice and the Zambia Revenue Authority name are the property of the Zambia Revenue Authority and are used here only to identify the system this connector integrates with. AminiTech Solutions is an independent software vendor and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the ZRA.
