POS Order Types
Dine-In, Takeaway, Delivery — One tap order classification for your Point of Sale
Order Type Selection Popup
A beautiful, visual popup appears automatically when creating a new order. Cashiers can quickly select the order type with a single tap.
Overview
POS Order Types adds configurable order type classification to your Odoo Point of Sale. Define unlimited order types such as Dine-In, Takeaway, and Delivery, each with custom icons, colors, and images. Orders are tagged from the moment they are created, making reporting, kitchen management, and order tracking effortless.
Use Case: Restaurants, cafes, and food businesses that need to quickly distinguish between dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders directly from the POS screen. Kitchen staff can see the order type on printed tickets, and managers can filter reports by order type.
Key Features
✔ Visual Popup Selection — Beautiful order type buttons with custom icons, colors, and images
✔ Unlimited Order Types — Create as many types as you need (Dine-In, Takeaway, Delivery, Drive-Thru, etc.)

The selected order type is printed on customer receipts and kitchen tickets for easy identification.
Filter Orders by Type in Backend
Group and filter all POS orders by order type for better reporting and analytics.
How It Works
Step 1: Go to POS > Configuration > Order Types and create your order types (Dine-In, Takeaway, Delivery, etc.)
Step 2: In POS Settings, enable Order Types and select which types are available for each POS
Step 3: Open the POS — a popup appears on each new order for the cashier to select the order type
Step 4: The order type is stored, printed on receipts/kitchen tickets, and available in backend reporting
