What This Module Does

The Odoo Enterprise home menu shows every installed app in one flat icon grid. As your install grows, that grid becomes noisy. App Folder Organizer adds a simple Folders / All Apps toggle to the home screen so users can flip between the classic flat view and a tidy folder view that you control from the backend.

Name

Upload your own 128×128 image for the folder card — branded, themed, or just visually distinct.

Color Index

Pick a color from the standard Odoo palette so folders stay visually distinct in the kanban list.

Sequence

Control the order folders appear on the home screen — pin the most-used ones to the top.

Apps (Many2many)

Pick any number of top-level menus (apps) to live inside the folder — same app can sit in multiple folders.

Apps Count

Auto-computed app count is shown on every folder card — handy at a glance from the kanban.

How To Use

From install to a tidy home menu in three short steps.

1. Create Folders

Go to Apps → App Folders and create folders — give each one a name, optional icon, color, and the apps it should contain.

2. Toggle on Home

Open the Odoo home menu and flip the new Folders / All Apps toggle to see your folder grid in action.

3. Drill & Launch

Click a folder to drill into its apps, then launch any app as usual — back button returns you to the folder grid instantly.
