Configure and export workflow
Follow these steps to configure BOM Excel Export settings, generate the report from a Sales Order, and review the exported workbook.
Configure BOM Excel
Go to Settings > Sales > BOM Excel, enable BOM Excel, and choose which details should appear in the report.
Configure customer, invoice, and delivery contact visibility, and toggle optional fields such as salesperson, opportunity, project, and product volume.
Generate the Report
Open a Quotation or Sales Order and click the BOM Excel button to generate the Excel file.
The workbook is generated instantly and downloaded to your browser based on the settings configured in Step 1.
Review the Excel Output
Open the downloaded workbook to review product lines, BOM hierarchy, quantities, UOM, and any optional fields included in the export.
Each order line expands into its full BOM component tree, with quantities adjusted to match the ordered quantity.
Install and configure
Install the module, add the openpyxl dependency, configure export settings, and start generating BOM Excel exports from Sales Orders.
1. Add the module
Copy atliis_bom_excel into your Odoo addons path.
2. Install dependency
Install the openpyxl Python package in your Odoo environment.
3. Update Apps
Restart Odoo with developer mode enabled and update the app list.
4. Configure
Search for BOM Excel Export, install it, configure settings, and export from Sales Orders.
Common questions
Where can I generate the BOM Excel Export?
You can generate it from a Quotation or Sales Order by clicking the BOM Excel button.
Can I choose which contact details appear?
Yes. Customer, invoice, and delivery contacts can each display email, address, both, or only the contact name.
What information is included in the exported file?
The report includes Sales Order reference, contacts, products, BOM hierarchy, quantities, UOM, and optional salesperson, opportunity, project, and volume details.
