Auto-Create Bills / Invoices / Payments from Bank Statement
Automate the creation of accounting journal entries such as invoices, bills, and payments from bank statement lines. With user-defined flexible mapping rules, the module ensures accurate and efficient generation of vendor bills, customer invoices and income/expense payments matching bank statement lines. This simplifies the accounting process, reduces the risk of errors, and saves time for the user. Our module is designed to integrate seamlessly with Odoo's accounting system, providing a streamlined solution for businesses looking to optimize and automate their accounting workflow.
Create Flexible Mapping Rules
- Separate rules for income and outcome bank statement lines
- Match bank statement lines using filter domain with domain creation visual wizard
- Set income/expense journal
- Set customer/vendor
- Set income move type to auto-create: Customer Invoice, Sales Receipt or Vendor Credit Note
- Set expense move type to auto-create: Vendor Bill, Purchase Receipt or Customer Credit Note
- Set product/service to use in journal entries
- Set analytic account and tags
- Set income/expense account if needed to override the default ones
Automatic Actions
- Choose one or all of the following actions in each mapping rule
- Auto-create journal entry set in mapping rule (Bill, Invoice, Receipt, Credit Note etc.)
- Auto-post created journal entry
- Auto-create income/outcome payment
- Auto-post created payment and apply to created journal entry (if it was created)
Bank Statement Views
- Button "Auto create transactions" to launch the matching and auto-create process
- Button "Reset auto created links" if you need to re-start the matching for previously matched statement lines
- Link/button to see all auto-created journal entries directly from bank statement
- Link/button to see all auto-created payments
Other Features
- Invoice / Bill - direct link to the bank statement which it was auto-created from
- Payment - link to the bank statement and mapping rule which was applied
Documentation and screenshots
Creating mapping rules
- Install "Automatic bills/invcoices/receipts/payments from bank statement" module
- Go to Invoicing/Accounting module => Configuration menu => Accounting submenu => Bank Statement Line Mapping Rules
- Click Create to add new rule
Processing bank statement
- Open bank statement
- Click on "Auto create transactions"
- This will launch the process of mapping and creating transactions (journal entries and payments) corresponding to mapping rules
- If you need to re-start the process - click on "Reset auto created links" and then click on "Auto create transactions" again
