Accoun Periods Locking System - Community Edition Odoo Apps

Account Period Lock app for Odoo's Community Edition provides users with the ability to create accounting periods for specific dates and invoice journals. It allows users to lock and unlock these accounting periods as needed. When an accounting period is locked, users are restricted from saving or confirming invoices within the selected journal for the duration of the period lock date range. This restriction is applicable to all users except those with the "Accounting Period Lock Super User" access rights. Users with this access level can still save and confirm invoices even during locked accounting periods.

Additionally, users have the option to reset accounting periods back to the draft state. This feature allows for flexibility in case any adjustments or changes need to be made to the accounting periods. Overall, the Account Period Lock app helps ensure better control and adherence to specific accounting periods, giving users the ability to manage their financial operations more efficiently within Odoo's Community Edition.

Lock Accounting Period

Users can select journals and lock accounting periods.

Unlock Accounting Period

Users can unlock the accounting period for a selected journal.

Accounting Period Lock Super User Access

Users with access can save and confirm invoices even period is locked.

Different Warnings for Accounting Period Lock

A warning will raise if the accounting period dates are not proper, and the user tries to lock the same period.

Accounting Period Lock Menu

Under Invoicing > Account Period Lock menu users can create different accounting periods with different journals for a different dates.

Lock Accounting Period

Users can see created accounting period and add multiple journals, User can lock the accounting period by clicking the "Lock Period" button.

Users can see the accounting period is locked and the stage changed to "Locked".

Locked Accounting Period Warning

If the user tries to save the invoice for a selected journal in a locked accounting period date range then the user will get a warning.

If the user tries to confirm the invoice for the selected journal in the locked accounting period date range then the user will get a warning.

User Access

Users with "Accounting Period Lock Super User" access rights can create and confirm the invoice for the locked journal and period.

Users can see created invoice for locked accounting periods and journals.

Users can see users with "Accounting Period Lock Super User" access can confirm the invoice for the locked period.

Unlock Accounting Period

Users can unlock the accounting period by clicking the "Unlock Period" menu.

Users can see the accounting period is unlocked and the stage changed to "Unlocked".

Set to Draft Accounting Period

Users can reset the accounting period to the draft state by clicking the "Reset to Draft" button on the accounting period.

Warnings

Raise warning if accounting period start date and end date period are not proper.

Raise a warning if the user tries to lock the accounting period with the same date that already locked.

This Odoo app can not be used with Odoo Online (SaaS).

How can I install the module I bought ?

You need to copy paste the module that is inside the zip file to your addons folder. If you are installing the module into an existing database, you need to enable the Technical Features to click on Apps > Update Modules List. Your new module will now appear in the list of modules that you can install.
