Variant pricing that explains itself to every buyer
Set fixed, coefficient, or percentage rules per attribute value, control the order they apply, and show customers exactly how each price was built — identically across Sales, eCommerce, and POS.
Odoo's native attribute pricing supports only a single flat surcharge per value, so merchants selling configurable products — furniture, signage, apparel, industrial parts — end up hand-editing hundreds of variant prices or maintaining spreadsheets outside Odoo. Multipliers, percentage markups, and sequence-dependent combinations simply cannot be expressed, and neither the merchant nor the customer can see how a final price was derived.
Advanced Variant Prices adds fixed, coefficient, and percentage pricing rules to every attribute value, applies them in a sequence you control, and layers on a per-variant surplus for one-off combinations. The computed price flows into lst_price, so Sales, eCommerce, and POS always agree — and a step-by-step breakdown shows merchants and buyers exactly how each figure was reached.
Everything a configurable catalog needs
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Three pricing rule types per value
Give each attribute value a Fixed Amount, a Coefficient multiplier, or a Percentage markup — mix and match across a single product's attributes to match how your catalog is actually priced.
Bulk-edit every rule in one list
The dedicated Variant Pricing Rules screen (Sales > Configuration) lists every attribute value's pricing rule in an editable grid, with native import/export for revising large catalogs at once.
Control the order attributes apply
Set the sequence attributes apply in and see it reflected instantly — because a coefficient applied before or after a fixed surcharge changes the final price, sequence is a first-class setting, not an afterthought.
Calculation pipeline, explained on the form
The product form shows the exact pipeline — base price, attribute rules in sequence, variant surplus, zero floor, then pricelists on top — with a live worked example, so merchants never misconfigure the order pricelists apply in.
Preview the impact of reordering
See the current sequence's computed price side by side with a reversed ordering, so the effect of sequence is visible before you commit to a configuration.
Per-variant surplus for one-off combinations
Nudge a single combination that costs more or less than its individual attribute rules imply, without rewriting the rules that govern every other variant.
Step-by-step breakdown, not just a total
Every variant shows the full derivation — each rule's contribution and the running total — on the variant form, the sales order line, and the eCommerce product page.
One computed price, every channel
The computed price replaces the variant's price_extra and flows through lst_price, so Sales quotations, the eCommerce storefront, and POS always show the identical figure — and pricelists apply cleanly on top.
Deterministic, never negative
Heavily discounted combinations are floored at zero rather than producing a negative sale price, and the floor step is recorded in the breakdown so merchants can see when it triggers.
How it works
Set pricing rules per value
Open Variant Pricing Rules under Sales > Configuration and choose Fixed, Coefficient, or Percentage for each attribute value.
Order your attributes
Set each attribute line's sequence so the pipeline applies rules in the order that matches your pricing logic.
Review the live preview
Check the product form's Pricing Preview page for the calculation pipeline, a live example, and a current-vs-reversed ordering comparison.
Sell with a transparent price
The computed price flows into Sales, eCommerce, and POS automatically, with a step-by-step breakdown on the variant, the quote line, and the product page.
See it in action
From rule setup to the price a customer sees on the storefront.
The Variant Pricing Rules list (Sales > Configuration) shows every attribute value's rule type and amount in one editable, importable grid.
Each rule's detail form lets you pick Fixed, Coefficient, or Percentage and set the matching amount — here a 25% markup on the Walnut option.
The product form's Pricing Preview explains the calculation pipeline, works a live example, and compares the current attribute sequence against a reversed one.
Each variant's Price Breakdown traces every step — including a per-variant surplus — from base price to final total.
Sales order lines carry the same computed price, with pricelists (here a Benelux -10% rule) applying cleanly on top of the variant price.
The eCommerce product page shows the same step-by-step breakdown, so buyers see exactly how the price they're paying was built.
Frequently asked
How is this different from Odoo's built-in Extra Price on attribute values?
Odoo's native field only adds one flat amount per value. This app adds Coefficient (multiplier) and Percentage rule types alongside Fixed Amount, applies them in a sequence you control, and adds a per-variant surplus — none of which native Odoo supports.
Does the price show the same everywhere — Sales, eCommerce, and POS?
Yes. The computed price replaces the variant's price_extra, which feeds lst_price directly, so every channel that reads the variant price shows the identical figure, with pricelists applying on top exactly as they do natively.
Why does the order I set attributes in matter?
Because coefficients and percentages are multiplicative, applying a markup before or after another rule changes the final total. The Pricing Preview page shows a live comparison of your current sequence against a reversed one so you can see the effect before you commit.
Can I update pricing rules for many attribute values at once?
Yes. The Variant Pricing Rules list is a standard editable Odoo grid, so you can use native import/export to review or update rules for an entire catalog in bulk.
