Construction jobs, costed to the margin
Carry a job from BOQ estimate through material requisitions and purchase orders to progress billing — with planned-vs-actual cost, budget breach alerts, and one dashboard for estimated, committed, consumed and billed cost. Built natively on Odoo.
A job's estimate lives in one place, requisitions and purchase orders in another, and actual cost in a spreadsheet. Overruns surface only after the project closes, and most competing apps split costing, procurement and budget across paid add-ons that need a parent job-costing module.
One self-contained construction workspace where the BOQ estimate drives requisitions, requisitions raise purchase orders, consumption feeds actual cost, and budget-vs-actual is watched live — so a project's margin is visible before it closes, not after.
Estimate to bill, in one app
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Projects & Milestones
Create construction projects with a guided status flow and billable milestones carrying target dates, progress and value. Each project gets a sequenced job reference.
Bill of Quantities
Estimate the job with itemised BOQ lines — section, quantity and unit rate — that roll up into the contract value the rest of the workspace measures against.
Job Cost Sheet
A cost sheet with material, labour and overhead lines, each carrying a planned figure and an actual figure with live variance so overruns show as they emerge.
Requisitions & Approval
Raise material requisitions against a job and route them through a draft, submit and approve flow. Only a Construction Manager can approve, giving finance a clear spend-control gate.
Purchase Order Generation
Turn an approved requisition into a native Odoo purchase order in one click, with vendor and lines carried over — committed spend captured against the right job with no re-keying.
On-Site Stock Consumption
Consume a material cost line and the module posts a real stock move, drawing inventory down and writing the true consumed cost back into the sheet.
Budget & Breach Alerts
Set budgets by cost category and track committed plus consumed against them. The moment a category crosses its budget, the project is flagged and a real-time alert is posted to its chatter.
Progress & RA Billing
Bill work completed to date by percentage of the BOQ, by milestone, or by manual amount, then generate the customer invoice in one click through native Odoo Accounting.
Cost Dashboard & Roles
One dashboard shows estimated, committed, consumed and billed cost with margin per project. Role-based access separates the Construction Manager and Site Engineer views.

Frequently asked
Do I need a separate job-costing module?
No. This is one self-contained product covering BOQ estimating, cost sheets, requisitions, purchase orders, budget and progress billing — there is no required parent module or paid add-on stack.
Does it create real purchase orders and invoices?
Yes. Approved requisitions generate standard Odoo purchase orders, and progress bills generate standard customer invoices, so procurement, taxes, payments and reporting work exactly as they do elsewhere in Odoo.
How do over-budget alerts work?
Each budget line tracks committed plus consumed cost for its category. When that total crosses the budget, the project is flagged over budget and a one-time alert is posted to the project chatter while there is still time to act.
Can I control who approves procurement?
Yes. The module ships with Construction Manager and Site Engineer roles. Engineers run projects and raise requisitions, but only a Construction Manager can approve a requisition and manage budgets and billing.
