Last Price Intelligence for Purchase & Sale
See last purchase and sale price, trend direction, and margin risk right on the order line — no more digging through old POs or guessing at cost.
Buyers create purchase orders with no quick way to see what was paid last time, from which vendor, or at what quantity, so they re-key a price from memory or dig through old POs. Sales reps face the same blind spot in reverse, quoting customers with no visibility into current purchase cost and risking quotes below margin.
Last Price Intelligence puts last-purchase and last-sale price, a directional trend badge, and trailing averages directly on the order line, flags sales quotes priced below cost, and gives you a filterable price-history report to compare suppliers and spot trends — both sides of the transaction in one app.
Everything you need to price with confidence
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Last Purchase Price on PO Lines
Every purchase order line shows the price paid last time, plus the vendor, date, and quantity of that order — context, not just a bare number.
Last Sale Price by Customer
Sales order lines mirror the same visibility, showing the last price sold to that specific customer so reps quote consistently.
Directional Trend Badges
An up/down/flat badge with a percentage shows the size and direction of the price change at a glance, no mental math required.
Below-Cost Margin Warning
A sales line priced at or below the last known purchase cost is flagged in red on the order form, at the point of quoting.
Trailing 3/6/12-Month Averages
Rolling averages sit alongside the last price so a one-off outlier never gets mistaken for a real price shift.
Configurable Cost-Creep Alerts
Set a threshold percentage in Settings; any new purchase price that exceeds the last price beyond it is flagged automatically.
Smart Auto-Suggest Pricing
Optionally pre-fill a blank new order line with the last known price for that supplier or customer, cutting manual re-entry and typos.
Price History Stat Button
A stat button on the product form opens that product's full purchase-and-sale price history in one click, grouped by supplier or customer.
Filterable Price History Report
A combined purchase-and-sale report with list, pivot, and trend-graph views, filterable by product, supplier, customer, and date — built for multi-supplier comparison.
How it works
Work as usual
Create purchase and sales orders the normal Odoo way — no new screens to learn.
Pick a product
The order line instantly shows last price, trend badge, and trailing averages for that supplier or customer.
Get flagged automatically
Cost-creep and below-cost lines are highlighted immediately, before the order is confirmed.
Compare and decide
Open the Price History report to compare suppliers side by side and confirm your sourcing decision.
See it in action
Five views covering purchase, sale, product, reporting, and configuration.
Purchase order lines show last cost, vendor, date, and a color-coded up/down trend badge, so buyers see the full picture before confirming a price.
Sales order lines display last sale price and last cost together; a line priced at or below cost turns the whole row red as an instant margin warning.
A Price History stat button on the product form shows the record count and opens that product's full transaction history in one click.
The combined Price History report lists every purchase and sale side by side, with pivot and trend-graph views for supplier comparison.
Set the cost-creep alert threshold and toggle auto-suggest pricing from a dedicated Settings block, no code or technical setup required.
Frequently asked
Does this work with my existing purchase and sale orders?
Yes. The moment you install the app, every confirmed purchase and sale order already in your database becomes part of the price history, and new order lines immediately show last price and trend based on that history.
Can I set my own cost-creep alert threshold?
Yes. In Purchase Settings you set a single percentage threshold; any new purchase price that exceeds the last price by more than that percentage is flagged. You can also toggle auto-suggest pricing on or off from the same screen.
Does it compare prices across multiple suppliers?
Yes. The Price History report can be pivoted by product and supplier, so you can see every recent price paid to every vendor for a product side by side when deciding where to source from.
Do I need both the Purchase and Sales apps installed?
Yes. This app is built to cover both sides of the transaction in one place, so it depends on the Purchase and Sales apps and requires both to be installed.
