Bulk transfer actions, governed from click to confirmation.
Mass Validate & Cancel Pickings adds mode-based bulk validation, governed cancellation, and a full audit trail to the Inventory transfers list — so warehouse teams can process dozens of deliveries and receipts at once, with a clear picture of what happened to every one of them.
Warehouses processing dozens or hundreds of transfers a day still validate deliveries and receipts one at a time, clicking into each record to check availability and confirm. Bulk-confirm apps on the market fix the clicking but not the guesswork: no breakdown of what succeeded or failed, no warning before a risky Force Available run, and no way to reverse an accidental mass cancellation.
This module adds a governed Mass Validate and Mass Cancel action to the standard transfers list. Choose a validation mode with in-context guidance, see a pre-action risk check before you commit, and get a color-coded pass / fail / skip summary the moment the batch finishes — with one-click retry for failures and a time-limited undo for cancellations.
Everything a bulk-action toolkit should have
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Three validation modes
Run a batch as Fully Available, Partial Available, or Force Available, with plain-language guidance and an example scenario shown at the point of selection.
Pre-validation risk check
Before a batch runs, see how many transfers are not fully reserved and what will happen to them — skipped, partially processed, or forced — with a clear warning for Force Available.
Pass / fail / skip summary
Every batch reports exactly what happened: how many transfers validated, how many failed and why, and how many were skipped.
Retry failed only
Reopen the validate wizard pre-loaded with just the transfers that failed, so a partial batch failure never means starting over.
Downstream readiness hint
Each successfully validated transfer line records a next-step note, so warehouse staff know at a glance what to do after the batch completes.
Governed mass cancellation
Cancel a batch of transfers only after a mandatory reason and a two-step review-then-confirm flow, replacing the single-click cancel apps ship today.
Time-limited undo
Cancellations stay reversible for a configurable window: undo restores the affected transfers as fresh, confirmed transfers with one click.
Full audit trail
Every bulk action is logged with the user, timestamp, mode or reason, transfer count, and a per-transfer result line you can drill into.
Role-based permissions
Two dedicated security groups separately gate who may run mass validation and who may run mass cancellation.
How it works
Select transfers
From the Inventory transfers list, select any deliveries or receipts you want to process.
Pick an action
Open Actions and choose Mass Validate Transfers or Mass Cancel Transfers.
Review & confirm
Check the mode guidance and risk warning (validate) or the reason and affected list (cancel), then confirm.
Track the result
Open the Mass Actions Log to see the pass / fail / skip breakdown, retry failures, or undo a cancellation.
See it in action
Every screen shipped in the module, from the bulk-action wizards to the governed audit log.
The Mass Actions Log lists every bulk run with its type, mode, and per-batch pass / fail / skip counts — failed batches are flagged in red.
Opening a validation log shows the mode used, the full per-transfer results list, and a one-click Retry Failed button.
A cancellation log records the reason, the affected transfers, and the undo deadline, with an Undo Cancellation button while the window is open.
The Mass Validate wizard shows the mode selector with guidance, a ready-vs-total count, and a risk warning before you confirm.
The Mass Cancel wizard requires a reason and walks through a Review then Confirm step before any transfer is cancelled.
The undo window for mass cancellations is configurable from Inventory Settings.
Frequently asked
Which records does this module bulk-act on?
Mass Validate & Cancel Pickings works on stock.picking records — deliveries and receipts — from the standard Inventory transfers list. No changes are needed on the Sales side.
What is the difference between the three validation modes?
Fully Available only validates transfers that are already fully reserved and skips the rest. Partial Available first tries to reserve available stock, then validates what it can. Force Available validates using demand quantities regardless of reservation, which can drive on-hand stock negative — the wizard warns you before you run it.
Can a mass cancellation be undone?
Yes. Every mass cancellation opens a configurable undo window (set in Inventory Settings). While it is open, the Undo button on the log restores the affected transfers as new, confirmed transfers.
Who can run mass validation or cancellation?
Access is controlled by two dedicated security groups, so an administrator can grant validation rights, cancellation rights, or both, independently.
