From POS order to kitchen-ready ticket, instantly.
POS Kitchen Screen gives restaurants and quick-service kitchens a glanceable, touch-friendly board that routes every paid order to the right station automatically, tracks preparation time, and flags what is running late before it becomes a problem.
Front-of-house and kitchen run on paper tickets, shouted orders, and manual re-entry. Nothing tells the kitchen an order exists until someone walks over and says so, so orders get delayed, duplicated, or lost during a rush — and no one can tell which ticket has been waiting the longest.
POS Kitchen Screen routes every finalized POS order straight to the right kitchen station the moment it is paid. Staff track work on a live board with one-tap stage buttons, color-coded aging keeps late tickets impossible to miss, and managers get a prep-time report broken down by station and product.
Everything a kitchen needs to stay ahead of the rush
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Real-time kitchen board
A kanban board grouped by preparation stage keeps every open ticket visible at a glance, with no manual refresh needed.
Automatic order routing
Every paid POS order is routed to the kitchen board automatically, with a one-click "Send to Kitchen" button as a manual fallback.
Multi-station routing
Order lines are routed by POS category to the right station — grill, bar, dessert, or any layout your kitchen uses — with a default station catching everything else.
Customizable stages
Go beyond a fixed To Cook / In Progress / Ready flow — add, rename, or reorder stages to match how your kitchen actually works.
Color-coded urgency
Every ticket shows On Time, Approaching, or Overdue based on a per-station target prep time, so staff can triage without reading a single timestamp.
One-tap stage advancement
Advance, mark Ready, or Reset a ticket right from the card — no menu hunting while hands are full during service.
Preparation-time analytics
A pivot and graph report breaks average prep time and ticket volume down by station and by product, so bottlenecks are easy to spot.
Guided setup
A single "Kitchen Screen" toggle on the point of sale configuration turns routing on for that register — no dense, nested settings to hunt through.
Role-based access
Dedicated Kitchen Staff and Kitchen Manager groups control who can advance tickets versus who can configure stations and stages.

Managers open the performance report to see average prep time by station and product.

Manage every kitchen station — grill, bar, dessert, or any layout — with its own target prep time.

Frequently asked
How is this different from Odoo's native Kitchen Screen?
It adds multi-station routing, color-coded urgency based on a configurable target prep time, customizable stages, and a preparation-time analytics report by station and product — none of which the native feature provides.
Do I need special kitchen display hardware?
No. The board runs in the standard Odoo web client, so any browser on a tablet, monitor, or PC mounted in the kitchen works.
Can I set up more than one kitchen station?
Yes. Configure as many stations as you need — grill, bar, dessert, and so on — and map POS categories to each one so order lines land on the right screen automatically.
What does the performance report show?
Average preparation time and ticket count, viewable as a pivot, graph, or list, grouped by station or product so managers can spot slow items or stations quickly.
