Know who sold every item before commission day
Attribute every Point of Sale order — and every line, when a basket is split between staff — to the salesperson who earned it, keep each person's sales private, and calculate commission automatically.
Odoo Point of Sale records which cashier rang up a sale but not who actually earned it. In showrooms, boutiques, and restaurants where staff share a terminal, the person who closed the deal is rarely the one logged in, so managers cannot calculate commissions fairly, run performance leaderboards, or settle disputes over who gets credit.
This module attributes every POS order, and every individual order line when a basket is split between two staff, to a specific salesperson. Each salesperson's login sees only their own sales, commission is calculated automatically from a per-user rate, and managers get a leaderboard and pivot report out of the box.
Everything you need to attribute and reward every sale
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Order-level attribution
Assign one salesperson to the whole order in a single tap from the POS screen, ready for fast-checkout environments.
Line-level split commission
Switch to per-line mode so two staff who both contributed to one basket each get credited for exactly the items they sold.
Per-POS mode toggle
Choose order-level or line-level attribution independently for each Point of Sale, so a showroom and a quick-service counter can run different modes without buying two apps.
Default carry-forward
New lines automatically inherit the current salesperson so staff only override it when a different person actually made that sale.
Role-based data isolation
Salespersons see only their own orders, order lines, and report rows, never a coworker's, while managers keep full visibility across the team.
Automatic commission calculation
Set a commission percentage per salesperson on their user profile and let the module compute the commission amount for every attributed sale.
Performance leaderboard & pivot
A dedicated Salesperson Performance report gives managers a graph leaderboard, a pivot by salesperson and month, and a detailed list view, filterable by customer and product.
Allowed salesperson list per POS
Configure exactly which users can be assigned as salesperson in a given Point of Sale, so the picker only shows relevant staff.
How it works
Enable & configure
Turn on salesperson attribution in POS Settings, pick order or line mode, and choose the allowed salespersons for each Point of Sale.
Set commission rates
Add a POS commission percentage to each salesperson's user profile from the Preferences page.
Assign during checkout
Cashiers tap the Salesperson button on the POS screen to assign or change who gets credit for the order or the current line.
Review performance
Managers open the Salesperson Performance report to see leaderboards, commission totals, and per-line detail, while each salesperson's own view stays private.
See it in action
From leaderboard to line-level detail, every screen the module adds to Point of Sale.
The Salesperson Performance report as a bar graph, ranking total sales by salesperson at a glance.
Pivot view grouping salesperson by month with total sales, commission, and quantity measures side by side.
Line-level list view of every attributed sale with its commission rate and computed commission amount.
The POS Orders list with an added Salesperson column, so every order's attribution is visible at a glance.
A POS order form showing the order-level Salesperson field alongside per-line salesperson attribution.
POS Settings showing the Salesperson Assignment mode toggle and the allowed-salespersons list for the Point of Sale.
The POS Commission (%) field on a salesperson's user Preferences page, driving automatic commission calculation.
Frequently asked
Does this attribute sales at the order level or the line level?
Both. Each Point of Sale can be set to per-order mode for fast checkout or per-line mode so two staff can split credit for one basket, without installing a separate app.
Can a salesperson see other salespeople's sales?
No. A user in the Salesperson group only sees their own orders, order lines, and report rows. Users in the Salesperson Manager group keep full visibility across the whole team.
How is commission calculated?
Each salesperson has a commission percentage on their user profile. The module multiplies that rate by the subtotal of every sale attributed to them and reports the result in the Salesperson Performance report.
Do I need Odoo Enterprise or additional apps to use this?
No. It runs on Odoo Point of Sale, Community or Enterprise, with no extra dependencies. It is identity-agnostic, so it also works alongside multi-employee login apps if you use one.
