Deliver on time, every line, every date
Per-line delivery dates with automatic delivery order splitting — one picking per date, automatically.
A single sale order can have lines destined for different delivery dates, but Odoo groups them all into one delivery order. You end up splitting pickings by hand, rushing partial shipments, and losing track of which lines were promised for which date.
Set a delivery date on each order line. The module automatically groups lines by date and creates one delivery order per date group — on confirmation or on demand — with no manual picking splits required.
Every tool for date-driven delivery
Every capability below is implemented and tested in the module.
Per-line Delivery Date
Each sale order line carries its own promised delivery date, visible as a column directly in the order lines tab.
Header Date Propagation
Set a default delivery date on the order header and it propagates to all lines that do not yet have their own date. Override any line individually without affecting the rest.
Automatic Delivery Splitting
Lines that share the same delivery date are grouped into a single delivery order. One date, one picking. No manual splitting needed in the warehouse.
Configurable Trigger
Choose to create delivery orders automatically when the sale is confirmed, or hold creation until the warehouse team is ready and trigger it manually.
Manual Creation Button
A “Create Deliveries by Date” button on the order header lets the team generate grouped delivery orders at exactly the right moment, in one click.
Lead-time Validation
When a delivery date is earlier than the product’s feasible date (customer lead time plus security days), a warning is shown so the team can correct it before confirming.
Mismatch Alert Banner
If a line’s delivery date is changed after delivery orders have been created, a visible banner flags the mismatch and prompts one-click regeneration.
Delivery Date List Column
The delivery date column is visible by default in the sale order list, and supports sorting, filtering, and grouping so you can schedule batches in seconds.
Accurate Scheduled Dates
Each delivery order’s scheduled date is set to the line’s delivery date minus the company security lead time, so warehouse planning reflects real commitment dates.
How it works
Set Delivery Dates
Enter a default date on the order header or set individual dates directly on each order line.
Confirm the Sale
On confirmation, delivery orders are created automatically (or held if you use the manual trigger).
One Picking Per Date
Lines with the same date land in one delivery order. The warehouse processes each date group independently.
Handle Changes
If a line date changes after confirmation, the mismatch banner prompts re-creation with one click.

Frequently asked
Does each delivery date produce a separate delivery order?
Yes. Lines sharing the same delivery date are grouped into one delivery order. If an order has lines for three different dates, three delivery orders are created automatically — one per date.
Can I set a default date for all lines at once?
Yes. Set the Default Delivery Date on the order header and it fills in every line that does not already have its own date. You can then override individual lines without affecting the rest.
What happens if I change a line’s date after the order is confirmed?
A mismatch banner appears on the order. Click “Create Deliveries by Date” to regenerate delivery orders reflecting the updated dates. Existing open deliveries are not cancelled automatically; the warehouse team manages that.
Does the manual trigger delay order confirmation?
No. The sale order is confirmed normally and moves to the “Sale Order” state straight away. Delivery order creation is simply deferred until you click the button, giving the warehouse full control over timing.
