Native Odoo only creates a project task automatically when an order line carries a service product configured for project tracking. The moment a deliverable is a consumable, a stockable good, or a mixed bundle, coordinators re-key the work into the Project app by hand — retyping the customer, the order reference, the description and the deadline, and losing the link back to what was actually sold.
Sales Order to Delivery Task turns any order line, of any product type, into a fully pre-populated delivery task in one click or in batch, keeps every task visible and manageable directly on the order, and lets you convert a task back into a quotation the moment new scope is discovered during delivery.

Quote or Confirm
Add products of any type — service, consumable or stockable — to a quotation or confirmed order.
Create Delivery Tasks
Click Create All Tasks, or open the wizard to pick lines, the target project and assignees.
Track In One Tab
Monitor status, deadlines, assignees and the field-work flag in the always-visible Delivery Tasks tab.
Convert Back When Needed
Turn an approved task into a new quotation in one click the moment extra scope appears.

The order header adds a Create Delivery Tasks button and a Delivery Tasks smart button showing task count and completion progress at a glance.
The always-visible Delivery Tasks tab lists every task with state badges, assignees, the field-work flag, and Mark Complete / Create All / Create… actions — without leaving the order.
A dedicated Delivery Tasks menu lists tasks across every order, grouped by Source Order, for a cross-order delivery overview.
On the task form, a permission-gated Convert to Quotation button and a Delivery group show the source order, source line and field-work flag.
After conversion, a Quotation smart button links straight to the generated quotation — fast navigation with no extra searching.
The Sale to Task settings block lets you configure the default creation mode, auto-open behavior, reverse-flow approval gating, the default line product, and the default delivery project.
Frequently asked
Does it work with consumable and stockable products, or only services?
Any product type qualifies. Unlike native Odoo, which only auto-creates a task for service products, every order line — service, consumable or stockable — can become a delivery task.
Can I create one task per line, or just one task for the whole order?
Both. Use the Create All Tasks button for one task per eligible line, or open the creation wizard and switch to single-task mode to create one task for the whole order.
What happens if no delivery tasks have been created yet?
The Delivery Tasks tab is always visible on the order. When it is empty it shows a short guidance message with a direct action to create tasks, so it never looks broken or hidden.
How does the reverse flow (task to quotation) work?
Users in the Convert Tasks to Quotations group can click Convert to Quotation on an approved or done task (configurable) to generate a new quotation, optionally from a sale order template, and the new quotation opens immediately.
