Website Product Documents adds a categorized, filterable documents panel to every product page — with inline preview so customers see a file before downloading it. Documents can be scoped to logged-in or group-restricted customers, tracked with view/download analytics, uploaded in bulk across your catalog, and automatically attached to order confirmations — all without ever touching developer mode.

Define Document Types
Use the six built-in types (or add your own) to classify manuals, datasheets, certificates and warranties from Website > Configuration.
Attach Documents to Products
Upload files to a product's Documents tab, or use the bulk wizard to attach a shared file set across many products at once.
Set Visibility & Confirmation Rules
Choose Public, Signed-in, or Restricted-Group visibility per document, and flag which ones should ride along on order confirmations.
Publish and Track Usage
Customers browse a categorized, filterable panel with inline preview on the product page, while you monitor downloads and previews from the Document Analytics list.

Does this replace Odoo's standard product documents feature?
No — it builds directly on Odoo's native product document model from website_sale, so existing documents and workflows keep working. We add categorization, preview, access control, analytics, and bulk tools on top, without duplicating or replacing anything.
Do I need Developer Mode to configure document types or visibility?
No. Document types, visibility rules, and every other setting are managed from the standard product form, the Document Types menu, and Website Settings — all fully working right after install.
Can I restrict a document to specific customers, such as wholesale buyers?
Yes. Each document can be set to Public, Signed-in Customers, or Restricted to a specific customer group, so sensitive documentation like wholesale spec sheets stays visible only to the right audience.
Can I attach the same documents to many products at once?
Yes. The Bulk Upload wizard lets you select multiple products and files together, and apply the same document type, visibility, and order-confirmation settings across all of them in a single action.
