Odoo's built-in website and portal profiles are bare-bones: uploading a photo is either missing entirely or produces off-center, oversized images with no review step. Website Profile Photo Pro gives every member a drag-and-drop upload with a live preview and lightweight in-browser cropping, automatic compression and thumbnails, and a primary avatar that syncs straight to their contact record. Administrators set the accepted file formats, the maximum upload size, and can enable a site-wide watermark, all from one Settings screen.
Consent-based visibility & view analytics
Members opt in to a public profile and control per-photo visibility, while every public photo view is counted for basic access analytics.
How it works
Member uploads a photo
A member drags a photo into their portal profile page, or browses to select one, with an instant preview and crop.
Photo enters the queue
The upload lands in the moderation queue as Pending, hidden from public view until it is checked.
Moderator approves or rejects
A moderator reviews the queue, approving good photos or rejecting unsuitable ones with a reason, in one click.
Photo goes live
Approved photos sync to the member's contact record and appear on their public profile and the member directory.

Frequently asked
Does every uploaded photo go live immediately?
Not unless you want it to. By default every upload starts as Pending and stays private until a moderator approves it; a Settings toggle lets you switch to auto-approve instead.
Can members crop or preview their photo before saving?
Yes. The upload widget shows a live preview and a lightweight in-browser crop before the photo is submitted.
Where do approved photos show up?
The approved primary photo syncs to the member's contact record, so it appears there and across Odoo, plus on the public member directory and their public profile page if they have opted in.
Can I limit file size, formats, or add a watermark?
Yes. Settings lets you set the maximum file size, allowed formats, the number of photos per member, and an optional site-wide watermark.
