Go to setting --> Users --> Users --> Select User --> Click on Set Read Only button. Click on Set Read Only button to set selected user to Read Only. Depending on the access right set for selected users, users can read any menus/views.

Click on the Unset Read Only button to reset read only behaviour.

Before setting the user to Read Only, the user is able to Create/Edit/Delete/Duplicate record.

After setting the user to Read Only, user Create/Edit/Delete/Duplicate options are not visible. If a user clicks on any button System will raise access denied warning.

If the user clicks on a button that opens another view or wizard then the system will allow it to do this thing but there should not be any transaction in the background.

If a user clicks on a button that creates any record or processes some transaction then the system will raise an Assess Error.
