Stale sales orders pile up: quotations that turned into confirmed orders but were never delivered, never invoiced and never paid. They clutter your reports, distort your backlog and keep stock reserved for deals that will never close.
Sale Order Auto Cancel cleans them up automatically. A daily background task reviews your confirmed sales orders and cancels the ones that have been overdue for longer than the number of days you choose â but only when it is safe to do so.

- Configurable age â decide, per company, after how many days an overdue confirmed order is cancelled automatically.
- Natural or working days â count the age in calendar days or in working time based on a resource calendar.
- Safety first â an order is never cancelled if it already has a paid (or in-payment) invoice, or if any of its deliveries is done.
- Full audit trail â every automatic cancellation is logged in the order chatter, so you always know what was cancelled and why.
- Runs unattended â a scheduled action does the work every day; no manual review required.
- Download and install the module from Settings → Apps → Third-party modules.
- The Sales application is required and installs automatically as a dependency.
- Open Sales → Configuration → Settings and set the number of days and the day-count type under Automatic Cancel Overdue Sale Orders.
Once configured, there is nothing else to do. Every day a scheduled action reviews the confirmed sales orders that are older than your threshold and cancels the ones with no completed delivery and no paid invoice.
Each cancelled order gets a note in its chatter explaining that it was cancelled automatically because it had been overdue for more than the configured number of days.
