POS Cart to Sales Order
The POS Cart to Sales Order module for Odoo allows cashiers to create Sales Orders directly from the POS screen. It adds a Create Sales Order button with a simple and guided workflow to convert the POS cart into a Sales Order, helping businesses reduce errors and streamline operations.

⚙️ Workflow
- Enable Show Create Sales Order Button on POS Screen from Settings → Point of Sale → POS Cart to Sales Order.
- Add products to the POS cart and select a customer.
- Click the action button and then click Create Sales Order.
- Select the Sales Order state and add an optional customer note.
- Click Create Sales Order to generate the Sales Order.
- A success alert is shown with the Sales Order reference number.
- Open the Sales Order from the Sales module using the reference number.
- Use the Created from POS filter to view POS-created Sales Orders.

1. Enable Create Sales Order Button
Go to Settings → Point of Sale → POS Cart to Sales Order and enable Show Create Sales Order Button on POS Screen.
2. Add Products and Select Customer
Add items to your POS cart, choose a customer, then click the action button.
3. Create Sales Order Button on POS Screen
The Create Sales Order button is visible on the POS screen. Click it to open the Create Sales Order popup.
4. Create Sales Order Popup
The popup opens with three states: Quotation, Quotation Sent, and Sales Order, along with a Customer Note field.
5. Select Sales Order State
Choose the Sales Order state you want to create. Here, Sales Order is selected and the Create button is clicked.
6. Sales Order Created Successfully
A success alert is shown to the cashier with the Sales Order reference number.
7. Open Sales Order from Sales Module
Go to the Sales module and open the recently created Sales Order using the reference number.
8. View Sales Order Details
The Sales Order created from the POS is opened, displaying all order details.
9. Created from POS Filter
The admin can click the Created from POS filter to view only Sales Orders created from the POS.
10. POS Created Sales Orders List
All Sales Orders created from the POS are displayed after applying the filter.
11. Warning – Customer Not Selected
If the cashier tries to create a Sales Order without selecting a customer, a warning alert prompts them to select a customer.
12. Warning – Cart Is Empty
If the cashier attempts to create a Sales Order without adding products to the cart, a warning alert prompts them to add items to the cart.
