Module Setup & Workflow
Create a Create a Hotel Property in Odoo: Hotel Management >> Configuration >> Hotels & Properties
Create Facilities & Amenities: Hotel Management >> Configuration >> Facilities & Amenities
Create a Room: Hotel Management >> Configuration >> Room Inventory with Is Room Type checked.
Review Settings: Hotel Management >> Configuration >> Settings
Connect Channex: Navigate to Hotel Management >> Channel Manager >> API Credentials, enter Connection Name & API Key, then click Test Connection.
Click smart button List Properties to view all Channex.io properties.
Map your properties: Hotel Management >> Channel Manager >> Property Mappings — link Odoo Hotel Property with Channex Property ID.
Channex bookings sync into Odoo as logs: Hotel Management >> Channel Manager >> Sync Logs
Guests visit your website and search for available rooms by hotel, check-in & check-out dates.
Available rooms are listed. Guest clicks View Details to see full room info and book stay.
Room detail page with Book Stay option.
Guest is prompted to Login or Sign Up for checkout authentication.
Payment page for advance booking amount or full room charge.
Booking success page with Print Pass / Save PDF & Back to Catalog options.
Hotel staff sees the reservation record: Hotel Management >> Operations >> Reservation & Check-ins
Reservation record with Folio, action buttons: Allot Room, Exchange Room, Cancel Stay, Reschedule Stay.
Agent commission details visible in the Agent & Commissions tab
Click Allot Room — required documents must be attached (validation triggered if missing).
Guest Check-in button changes status to Checked In, revealing Guest Check-out button.
Click Exchange Room to open the room change wizard.
Upgrade free of cost — keep Apply Price Difference unchecked.
Check Apply Price Difference to bill the room upgrade difference to guest.
Reservation record updated with new room after exchange.
Click Reschedule Stay to open the reschedule wizard — enter new dates and confirm.
Add paid services to guest stay via the Service Order tab on the reservation record.
Service orders can also be created from Hotel Management >> Operations >> Service Orders.
Mark the service as Completed when done.
Click Bill Folio to add service charges to the guest bill — status changes to Billed.
Create Housekeeping teams: Housekeeping >> Cleaning Teams
Add team members and name the housekeeping team.
Create a Cleaning Checklist: Housekeeping >> Cleaning Checklist — select task, room, date, team & checklist items.
Create a Room Charge payment method in Point of Sale >> Configuration >> Payment Methods with Is Charge To Room enabled.
Add the Room Charge payment method to your POS shop configuration.
At checkout in POS, select Room Charges as payment — the amount is automatically added to the guest reservation.
Verify the POS Room Charge in guest reservation Folio: Hotel Management >> Operations >> Reservation & Check-ins
On checkout, open the Folio tab in the reservation. Use Generate Invoice to create a final invoice & Sync Service Charges for pending amounts.
Click Guest Check-out — status moves to Checked Out and a feedback link is sent to guest via SMS/email.
Guest submits star rating & feedback via the portal link. Record visible in Hotel Management >> Guest Feedback.

You can easily create housekeeping tasks and service orders during a guest stay. Service orders can be billed directly to the guest folio, and housekeeping teams are managed via checklists.
Does it support POS integration for restaurants/shops?
Yes, guests can charge Point of Sale purchases directly to their room using the "Room Charge" payment method, which adds the amount to their overall folio automatically.
Is this app compatible with Odoo Community as well as Enterprise?
Yes, this app works perfectly with Odoo Enterprise (Odoo.sh & On-Premise) as well as the Community version.
Is this app compatible with Odoo Online?
No, like all third-party Odoo apps, it is compatible with Odoo.sh and On-Premise installations only — not with Odoo Online (SaaS).
