Setup Guide
Everything you need for a seamless integration.
- Navigate to Slack Connector.
- Navigate to Setup => Apps menu.
- Click on New button and create a new app.
- Copy and enter these endpoints in your slack app.
- Oauth Redirect URI : In slack api, navigate to Features => Oauth and Permissions => Redirect URLs and add this URI.
- Oauth Webhook URL : In slack api, navigate to Features => Event Subscriptions => Request URL and add this URL.
- Click on Validate Connection button.
- Click on button Authorize App button and allow.
- Once the app is authorized, it will fetch workspace and redirect to workspace in odoo.
- Navigate to the Workspaces menu to view all synced Slack Workspaces.
- Use the Sync button to retrieve latest data from the Slack API.
- Access the Members menu to manage your Slack users within Odoo.
- Click on Fetch Chats to import conversation history from Slack.
- Enable Auto Create Channels to automatically create channels for messages received from unknown users.
- Enable Fetch Chat History to sync previous message history.
- View your Synced Chats directly within the Odoo Discuss interface.
- Enable Secure DM Sync to synchronize private messages between users.
- Use Reset History if you need to re-fetch older messages from a specific date.
- Configure global behaviors in the Settings menu.

Absolutely. Users can individually authenticate their Slack accounts to enable secure, encrypted synchronization of their private direct messages into Odoo.
How does the Project Management integration work?
The connector maps Slack Lists to Odoo Projects and Slack List items to Odoo Tasks.
Do I need a specific Slack plan to use this?
The connector works with all Slack plans (Free, Pro, Business+, Enterprise). Note that the Slack API must be enabled for your workspace.
Can I import old Slack chat history?
Yes, you can fetch historical messages for any channel or DM to ensure your Odoo database has the full context of past collaborations.
Is this app compatible with Odoo Community as well as Enterprise?
