It installs like any other Odoo app

Find it in Apps and install it. A Sale Order Numbering section appears in your Sales settings.

Quick answers before you buy.

Do I need to set anything up?
You set your format once in Sales settings — prefix, suffix, length and mode. After that, new quotations and orders are numbered automatically.
Which Odoo versions and editions does it work on?
Odoo 17, 18 and 19, on both Community and Enterprise.
Can I keep the same number from quotation to sale order?
Yes. In continuous mode the number stays the same. In state-based mode you can use a different prefix once the order is confirmed.
Can I set a number by hand?
Yes. A "Set Custom Number" button lets you enter a specific number, with a reason that is logged in the chatter.
Does it change my existing orders?
No. It applies to new records from the point you configure it. Existing orders keep their current numbers.
