FSN-XYZ Inventory Analysis Report
FSN-XYZ Inventory Analysis Report Odoo App brings two classic stock classifications together in one report. FSN tags each product Fast, Slow, or Non-Moving based on turnover or sales quantity. XYZ groups the same products by stock value using a Pareto split, marking them High, Medium, or Low value. Combine the two and every product lands in one of nine clear action codes (FX, FY, FZ, SX, SY, SZ, NX, NY, NZ), so dead capital, critical fast movers, and slow high-value items are immediately visible.
You set the date range, the FSN thresholds, and the X / Y / Z percentages, then narrow by company, warehouse, location, product, or category. The result opens on screen as a list or a pivot, prints to a colour-coded PDF with a classification summary, or downloads as Excel with the same banding.
It is built for inventory managers, supply chain leads, and finance teams making decisions on procurement priority and dead-stock cleanup.
Features
FSN Movement Classification
Auto-tags every product Fast, Slow, or Non-Moving, using either Turnover Ratio or Sales Quantity as the basis.
XYZ Pareto Value Split
Splits products into High (X), Medium (Y), and Low (Z) value bands by their share of total stock value.
Nine-Cell FSN-XYZ Matrix
Combines both axes into nine action codes (FX, FY, FZ, SX, SY, SZ, NX, NY, NZ) so the next move is obvious.
Configurable Thresholds
Set your own Fast / Slow cutoffs and X / Y / Z percentages so the report matches your industry, not a generic default.
Multi-Level Filters
Pick a date range, company, warehouses, internal locations, products, or category, and choose whether to include zero-stock items.
PDF, Excel, On-Screen Output
Open the analysis as a list or a pivot, print a colour-coded PDF with classification summary, or download Excel.
Analysis History
A dedicated menu keeps past report runs accessible, useful for trend comparison and record-keeping.
Open from the Reporting Menu
FSN-XYZ Analysis sits inside Inventory, Reporting. Two entries open the report builder and the history of past runs.
Set Period, Filters, and FSN Rules
Choose the company, date range, warehouses, locations, products, or product categories on the left, and on the right tick Include Zero Stock if needed. The FSN Configuration tab lets you pick Turnover Ratio or Sales Quantity as the basis and type your own Fast and Slow thresholds. A small legend at the bottom shows what each band means.
Set Your X, Y, Z Percentages
Enter the Pareto split you want, for example 70 / 20 / 10. The report assigns each product to X (high), Y (medium), or Z (low) value based on its share of total stock value. The legend underneath explains the logic plainly.
Nine-Cell Matrix Reference
The FSN-XYZ Matrix tab shows the nine action codes side by side, FX Critical Items, FY Important Fast, FZ Fast Low Value, and so on, so the team agrees on what each label means before reading the figures.
Three Output Buttons
View Report opens the analysis on screen, Print PDF prints a formatted report, and Export Excel downloads the spreadsheet. Pick the format that fits the audience.
On-Screen List with Code Badges
Each row shows warehouse, product code and name, category, Opening Qty, Purchase Qty, Sales Qty, Closing Qty, Turnover, Unit Cost, Stock Value, the FSN and XYZ labels, the combined FSN-XYZ code, and Aging days. Rows are grouped by FSN-XYZ Code with subtotals at the top.
Ready-Made Filters and Group By
Quick filters jump straight to Fast, Slow, or Non-Moving, High, Medium, or Low Value, or any of the nine combined codes. Zero Movement, Negative Stock, and Dead Stock 90+ days are one click away. Group By organises the same data by FSN-XYZ Code, FSN, XYZ, Warehouse, or Category.
Pivot Roll-Up by Code
Switch to pivot to roll up Stock Value, Sales Qty, and Closing Stock Qty by FSN-XYZ Code, warehouse, and category in a single screen. Useful for management reviews that need the bigger picture rather than every line.
PDF Report on Turnover Basis
The PDF prints the filters and thresholds at the top, a Classification Summary table grouping every code with product count, total value, value percentage, and total sales quantity, then a Product Details table with colour badges. Closing legends for FSN and XYZ make the report self-explanatory.
PDF Report on Sales Quantity Basis
Same layout as the turnover version but the FSN ranking is driven by sales quantity instead of turnover ratio, so the classification reflects pure outbound volume.
Excel Export with the Same Layout
The Excel file mirrors the PDF columns and colour bands. Company, period, and warehouse appear at the top, every product line carries its FSN, XYZ, and combined code, and a totals row closes the sheet.
Analysis History Menu
Past report runs are kept under the Analysis History menu, so the team can compare quarter against quarter or re-open a saved view without having to rebuild the filters.
