POS Order Return in Odoo
The POS Order Return module for Odoo provides a robust and professional solution for managing returns and refunds within the Point of Sale. It enhances the standard return workflow by allowing you to capture Return Reasons, enforce Return Policies, and restrict Non-Returnable Products. With built-in Manager Approval and a dedicated Return Analytics Dashboard, this module gives you complete control over your refund operations while providing data-driven insights into product returns.

- Capture Detailed Return Reasons: Prompt cashiers to select from a configurable list of reasons (e.g., Defective, Wrong Size) during every refund.
- Enforce Return Policies: Set a maximum return window (in days) to prevent refunds on old orders and protect your revenue.
- Non-Returnable Product Blocking: Flag specific products that cannot be refunded and instantly block them in the POS interface.

Configure Global Return Policies
Navigate to Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings to set your Return Policy Days and decide if return reasons should be mandatory for your cashiers.
Define Configurable Return Reasons
Go to Point of Sale > Configuration > Return Reasons to build a list of options like "Defective", "Changed Mind", or "Exchange".
Protect Non-Returnable Products
On the product form, under the Point of Sale tab, check the Non-Returnable in POS box. This will display a 'No Return' flag in the POS and block refund attempts.
Capture Reasons During Refund
In the POS Ticket Screen, when clicking Refund, the system validates policies and prompts for a reason and an optional note before creating the refund order.
Login as Manager to Approve Return
Identify Trends with Return Analytics
Open Reporting > Return Analysis to see which products are being returned most and why, helping you identify quality issues or customer trends instantly.
