Simple Setup - Enter your DILVE credentials and start importing

Go to DILVE > Configuration, enter your DILVE username and password, click Test Connection. Once connected, you can optionally set a default product category and API timeout.

Optional Settings

  • Default Product Category - auto-assign a category to all imported books
  • API Timeout - configure how long to wait for DILVE response (default: 30s)
  • 4% VAT Tax - automatically applies Spanish book tax rate if configured in your Odoo

What is DILVE?
DILVE (Distribuidor de Informacion del Libro Espanol en Venta) is the official Spanish book information distribution platform. It provides standardized bibliographic data in ONIX format for books published in Spain and Latin America. You need a DILVE account to use this module.
Do I need a DILVE account?
Yes. You need valid DILVE API credentials (username and password) to search and import books. You can request access at www.dilve.es. The module includes a Test Connection button to verify your credentials.
How many books can I import at once?
Up to 128 ISBNs per search request. You can run multiple searches back-to-back. The module supports manual ISBN entry, comma-separated lists, and file upload (CSV, XLSX, TXT).
What data does it import from DILVE?
Title, author, publisher, edition, publication year, language, ISBN-10, ISBN-13, product form (paperback/hardback/ebook/etc.), publishing status, subject codes, description, price (RRP), dimensions (height/width/depth), weight, and front cover image.
Does it work with Odoo eCommerce / Website?
Yes. Imported products are standard Odoo product templates. They work with Odoo Website/eCommerce, Point of Sale, Inventory, Sales, and any other module that uses products. Cover images are stored in the standard image_1920 field.
