Minimum MES Setup
If you already have Work Centers in Odoo, we get them instantly.
If you don't have Work Centers, create them in Epifor MES and create Smart workflows where you can put all your shop floor's intelligence.
Smart Workflows are the various workstations in a "Smart" route that instructs & drives the production for the order to be completed. They allow production teams to organize work beyond static routings. They support real-time task coordination, operator guidance, progress tracking, exception handling, and immediate visibility of what is happening on the shopfloor as production evolves. This ensures that production knowledge lives where work is executed. Not on paper, whiteboards, or spreadsheets.
Then go to Epifor Module Configurator at the workflow setting and press the Sync Button.

Necessary Odoo Setup
Epifor adapts to how your factory already operates while maintaining full two-way integration with Odoo.
Go to Product Variants and select which variants will be produced and sent to Epifor MES.
A Manufacturing Order will be automatically created.
Product will be sent directly from Sales Orders.
Traceability Settings
Quantity locked to "1" per sales order line. SN shown if Odoo Manufacturing is also used.
The Lot number in use is displayed on the sales order line.
Sales order and manufacturing order are not connected.
All attributes are sent. In sales they are sent separately. In manufacturing they are sent like a text.

Sync with Sales
What we send back
Used when production is executed directly against a Sales Order without generating a Manufacturing Order. Epifor writes back production results to the originating Sales Order in Odoo, including completion progress per sales order line and sales order accordingly, last completed work center.
Additionally, Odoo users can dictate the execution status right from Odoo by setting sales orders as ready for production or standby, controlling whether they want to display them on production terminals or not. Changes to target dates in Odoo are automatically synchronized with Epifor to maintain consistent production planning.
This mode applies to make-to-order flows where the Sales Order is the only reference document and production reporting must update it directly.

Sync with Manufacturing
What we send back
Used for items that are produced and managed through Manufacturing Orders in Odoo. Epifor writes back confirmed production data to the corresponding MO, including completion progress per manufacturing order, operator punches for every operation and work center along with quantities and time duration.
Additionally, Odoo users can dictate the execution status right from Odoo by setting sales orders as ready for production or standby, controlling whether they want to display them on production terminals or not. Changes to target dates in Odoo are automatically synchronized with Epifor.
Progress, quantities, time duration, and production activity return to Odoo.
Operator punches are synced for each operation and workcenter.
Production, standby visibility, and target date changes stay aligned.
Sync with Sales & Manufacturing
Designed for make-to-stock & make-to-order environments — Manufacturing Orders run independently and finished & semi finished goods pass from Odoo Manufacturing.
Finished & Semi-Finished
Goods Synchronization
The Odoo Module combines the goods that the plant produces. Connects the finish with the semi finished goods inside Odoo while synchronizes them in the shopfloor via the MES.
When a semi finished has started from a specified Stock MO, then you can catch the specific Serial Number or Lot of the specific Stock MO and synchronize it with the MO of the finished good via MES. Then, Both MOs are following same systemic management. The priority, attributes and requirements of the finished good are dictating the behavior of the Stock MO.
Stock MO & Sales Order
Lines
The module also supports synchronization between Stock MOs and Sales Order lines. When a sales order is created, users can assign a SN or Lot to the order, either manually or automatically. Once assigned, the Stock MO and Sales Order are synchronized, allowing priorities, attributes, and production requirements defined in the Sales Order to drive the execution behavior of the related Stock MO.
To prevent duplicate allocation, the module validates SNs across Sales Orders and generates an alert if a SN is already assigned to another order, preventing it from being used simultaneously in multiple Sales Orders.
Parent – Child
relationship
It is a Parent - Child relationship inside the MES that supports delivery dates and focuses in keeping the shop floor and the offices organized in big volumes and complex assemblies with many semi finished products.
This setup is intended for operations where Manufacturing and Sales must remain synchronized through inventory rather than direct order linkage.
