STORY BEHIND THE FEATURES

ODOO BEHAVIOUR

By default, Odoo does not allow you to exclude or restrict certain combinations of attributes (e.g. if you don't want to offer a certain color in a particular size). All combinations of attributes are generated unless you manually delete or archive variants after they’re created.

CLUEDOO BEHAVIOUR

Cluedoo adds the extended feature of excluded attribute values with Python code to address several limitations in Odoo’s standard product variant management. This feature helps users better manage complex product catalogs and prevent unwanted or impractical product combinations.

MODULE+

- This extension streamlines product management and avoids unnecessary clutter in the product catalog by excluding invalid or unwanted combinations.

- Reduces manual work and keeps the product catalog clean and organized.

- Improves overall system performance by reducing the number of unnecessary variants.

- Maintains consistency and accuracy in what is offered to customers.

- Scales easily with growing product lines, saving time and effort for the business.

- Offers flexibility to meet the needs of industry-specific configurations.

CLUEDOO RECOMMENDATION

To be installed on 100% of the database.

OUR FEATURES AS SOLUTIONS

Set Excluded Attribute Values with Python Code

HOW TO USE THIS MODULE

1

By going to the Products form view, click on Configure Variants → open a product variant value. You can set code as well as Python code.
i.e: X < 100. This means for value 'Custom', we cannot input a value lower than 100

2

When we create a sales order, select a product that has variants. When we configure the variant and set the custom value as 90 (below 100), there will be a warning message that reads: "This combination does not exist."

3

If we set the number greater than 100, there will be no warning message.

PRODUCT CONFIGURATION WIZARD ON PRODUCT TEMPLATE

1
On the product template you will have the ability to set variants. You can configure product variants by clicking on the Product Configuration tab.
Note: The attribute should be on "dynamically" variant creation mode.

2

Afterwards, it will show the Product Configuration wizard; select variant, and then click Add.

3

The variant will then be created.

You may upload an image for each Attribute Value.

ATTRIBUTE SECTION

1

Go to Sales -> Configuration. There we have the Attribute Section where we can create one.

2

On Product -> Variants tab, we can add lines to the Attribute Section.

3

On the Product Configuration wizard we can see the created sections in bold

ATTRIBUTE INFO

1

On the Attribute Value tab, we can insert the info of each attribute.

2

When we mouse over an attribute, we can see the information we created.
