Install by in put ocr and active OCR Home Depot, you need install by
sudo apt-get install tesseract-ocr
Then search ocr and install it

Then you need click the technical and find windows action

Input ocr and find the below

Check the action, and input same as below, then save

Find the access rights in technical

Make the same access right as below

Refresh the page, after module refresh and find purchase and then OCR Home Depot on the top

Click the OCR Home Depot and click the new as below

Then you will find the page

Tips: you need to get a clean, very flat, good inked copy for scanning, if you not, you will find the scan mistakes, even you can always adjust to the right data, but better have a good copy.

• If you have a book, put the receipt into it, then scan it, it will be good.
• if you have a cigarette box, make the receipt as a roll and insert into it, then scan it.
• If you almost do not touch it, just put it inside somewhere of your car, it will be good for scan.

So, the next step, put your mouse over the +, then on the left side bottom of the image, you will find a pen, click it and find your scanned Home Depot Receipt in your computer, like this below

Then you find the step 1 on the top, click it, it will show as below. Now we have the data in Final OCR Data

Check the Final OCR Data, if it is not as left, you can edit it, after you saw it is good, click step2 on the top, you will see below

If you see everything is good, you need to confirm it, click the step3 on top, it will not do anything on this screen but when you check the purchase, on the top-left, you will see a new record.

If you open the new purchase order, you will find the tax rate is not the same as Odoo tax set for purchase is 15%, but the scanned receipt is 7.3%, so you need go to the below to set the right tax for it, because you regularly in one state, so the default can the setting, or if you not, you can make selection for tax after you make multiple tax rates.

After: The new purchase order below after you have tax fixed is your local rate, note, you change the vendor as Home Depot

After all this, if you back to the purchase scan record by clicking the top line OCR Home Dept, you can find the record saved, you can easily find the right receipt by the date and subtotal.

So that’s it, but how to use it? I will put the Home Depot purchase order(P00017) into a purchase material cost tab for a construction project like below, you will see the Home Depot in the last 4 lines.
