FAQ
Can I restrict editing and viewing per article?
Yes. Each article has an access tab. Set view and edit access to everyone or specific users. By default, view is open and edit is restricted to the author.
Does this require the HR module?
No. This module only requires base, mail and web. Works on any Odoo 17 Community setup.
Can I share an article with someone who doesn't have Odoo access?
Yes. Use the Share action in the toolbar to generate a secure token link with an expiry date. No Odoo login required to view the shared page.
How does version history work?
Every time an article is saved, a snapshot is created automatically. You can browse all versions, compare any two with a visual diff, and restore any previous version in one click.
Can I delete a published article?
No. Published articles can be archived but not deleted, to preserve the audit trail. Unpublished articles can be deleted by the author or an admin.
How are views and likes tracked?
Views are session-based — one count per user per session per article, so metrics aren't inflated by refreshes. Likes are stored per user and can be toggled.
