IoT Integration for Manufacturing
Integrate manufacturing machine data into Odoo for real-time production monitoring and performance insights
Overview
To use this module
- Connect the choosen machines with your Ethernet network
- Use the MTConnect Agent to harness machine data via the Ethernet network
- Stream machine data from the MTConnect agent into a cloud-hosted InfluxDB (or a locally-hosted InfluxDB)
- Connect the InfluxDB to the IoT Manufacturing Analytics module (see instructions below)
The IoT Manufacturing Analytics module enables you to create digital twins of your manufacturing devices inside Odoo. It works by connecting the FANUC controller (used to pilot a major share of manufacturing devices) with the MTConnect Agent and a cloud-hosted Influx Database (optimized for large date-time data series).
What the IoT Manufacturing Analytics module displays
Monitor machine operation states in real-time and for selected historical time periods
- Analyze machine productivity varies on day-to-day and hour-to-hour basis
- Track which machine alarms lead to protracted periods of machine inactivity
Monitor parts produced by each machine and program
- Track how many parts were produced by each program, on each of your manufacturing floor machines
- Determine production inefficiencies by monitoring part-count slope movements
Track manufacturing floor productivity and compare it with historical performance benchmarks
- Track machine productivity metrics for selected time periods
- Link productivity analysis to workstation as well as workforce performance
Setting it up
Please note that the MTConnect Agent and InfluxDB set-ups are not included as part of this module. However, should you require assistance with the latter please contact us as majm@alpdev.eu (Subject: Odoo App: IoT Manufacturing Analytics). We aim to respond to all queries within 24 hours.
Seamlessly Connect your InfluxDB with Odoo
- Connect machines into the Ethernet network
- Set-up the MTConnect Agent and an InfluxDB database
- Fill-out the required Influx Settings
- Update and test connection with desired IoT devices
Specify which machine programs you would like to monitor inside Odoo
- Specify which FANUC programmes the module should monitor and analyse
- Edit program names as needed
