Enterprise Loan Enhancements
for Odoo
Gain end-to-end control over HR loans employees request, HR reviews, managers approve, and payroll handles housing-advance deductions automatically. This module adds a clear, multi-level workflow (Draft - HR Team - Branch Manager - HR Manager - Approved/Refused) with role-based buttons and targeted activity notifications, so the right people act at the right time. Contracts display the current monthâs Housing Advance Deduction, payslips compute and mark installments as paid on finalization, and a âGrantedâ ribbon makes loan status obvious at a glance. Built-in policy checks prevent duplicate active loans, enforce grade-based limits, and keep installments consistent cutting manual work, speeding approvals, and reducing payroll errors.

Enterprise Loan Enhancements
Gain end-to-end control of employee loans employees submit requests, HR reviews, managers approve, and payroll deducts housing-advance installments automatically, all inside Odoo. From eligibility checks, grade-based limits, and installment validation to period-aware deductions, everything is auto-computed and shown where it matters: a clear statusbar and âGrantedâ ribbon on the loan, a monthly Housing Advance Deduction on the contract, and payslips that mark installments as paid on finalization. Role-based activity notifications reach only the right approvers (no spam to higher roles), cutting delays and back-and-forth. Every step is logged in chatter and activities for audit-ready trails and policy compliance. Whether youâre accelerating approvals, reducing payroll errors, or preparing for audits, this module centralizes the loan lifecycle, standardizes controls, and eliminates manual spreadsheets across HR and Payroll.

Set Loan Access Level
In Settings - Users, choose the userâs Loans role User, HR Team, or HR Manager. This controls which approval buttons they see, what actions they can take in the workflow, and who receives approval activities/notifications.
Open Employee - Housing Advance
Go to Employees - select the employee and confirm their current contract & grade. Click the Housing Advance smart button to view or create the employeeâs loan request, check approval status, and see granted/instalment history. This links the loan to the right contract so payroll deductions compute correctly.
Draft Loan & Compute Installments
Create the Housing Advance request: confirm the pre-filled employee, contract, grade, amount, No. of Installments, and Payment Start Date. Click Compute Installment to auto-generate the monthly schedule, attach supporting files, then hit Send to HR Team to start the approval flow. The statusbar tracks progress and chatter logs every action.
HR Team Review - Send to HR Manager
As HR Team, verify the request (amount, installments, start date, attachments) and the computed schedule. If it meets policy, click Send to HR Manager to escalate for final approval. Use Refuse to return with comments, or Cancel to withdraw. The statusbar and chatter track every action.
HR Manager Decision Approve or Refuse
As HR Manager, perform the final review of the housing-advance request (amount, installments, start date, attachments). Click Approve to confirm and move the loan to Approved payroll will handle deductions automatically in the next cycle. Use Refuse to send back with comments, or Cancel to abort the request. The statusbar and chatter keep the audit trail.
Approved
The housing advance is approved. The installment plan is now locked, and deductions will be applied automatically in upcoming payslips. Chatter keeps the audit trail; only authorized users can Cancel if a reversal is required. A âGrantedâ ribbon will appear after disbursement per your payroll rules.
Canceled
The housing-advance request is Canceled. The approval flow stops and no payroll deductions will be taken. If you need to revise and resubmit, click Reset to Draft to edit the amount, installments, or dates and start the workflow again. Chatter keeps the full audit trail of who canceled and when.
Refuse Request
Provide a clear explanation for rejecting the housing-advance request (e.g., missing documents, policy limit, wrong installments). Click Confirm to move the record to Refused the reason is logged in chatter and notifies the requester. Use Close to dismiss without changing the state.
Refused
The housing-advance request is now Refused. The approverâs explanation is recorded under the Refusal Reason tab and a notification is sent to the requester. Review the comments, then either Reset to Draft to edit and resubmit, or Cancel to close the case. Chatter preserves the full audit trail.
