for Odoo
Kaizen: POS Orders Import (Excel) by Kaizen Principles Helps retail and operations teams bring spreadsheet sales into Odoo while keeping dayâtoâday POS simple. POS Managers upload an Excel file, and the wizard validates each row matching Session, Customer, Product, User, and Fiscal Position by name then groups lines sharing the same Order Number into a single POS order. Taxes and totals are recalculated with Odooâs native logic, and the created orders open in the standard POS views for quick review and followâup. An optional downloadable Excel template and dryârun validation (if enabled) reduce mistakes before import. This delivers faster migrations, cleaner data, and fewer keystrokes via one straightforward wizard under POS, without complex workflows.

Verify Order Details
Open the âImport POS Orderâ Wizard
In Point of Sale - Orders, click Import POS Order to launch the Excel import wizard and start uploading your POS orders.
Upload Excel & Import
In the wizard, pick the Company, click Upload your file to attach the .xls/.xlsx sheet, then press Import Now to create the POS orders
Confirm File & Run Import
After attaching the Excel sheet, click Import Now to create POS orders validations run automatically, and any row errors will be reported.
Review Imported POS Orders
The system opens Point of Sale - Orders showing the newly created orders verify totals, customers, and status, then proceed with your usual workflow.
Verify Order Details
Open an imported POS order to review header info (Date, Session, Cashier, Customer) and line items products, quantities, unit prices, discounts, and tax/subtotals before proceeding.
Prepare the Excel Sheet
Fill the template columns Session, Date, Fiscal Position, Customer, Product, Quantity, Unit Price, Discount (%), Salesperson. Use one row per product; repeat the same order reference to group lines into a single POS order. Save as .xls/.xlsx before importing.
