Excel Import Wizard for Purchase Orders
Easily generate accurate purchase orders in seconds by uploading a structured Excel fileâno manual entry required. Automatically group lines by supplier, apply taxes, set delivery dates, and track every order created. Whether you're handling five or fifty orders, this wizard ensures speed, consistency, and full traceability across your procurement process. Stay efficient, reduce errors, and streamline your purchasing operations directly within Odoo.
Access the Import Menu
Upload Excel File
View Imported Purchase Orders
Access the Import Menu
Navigate to Purchase > Orders > Import Purchase Orders to launch the import wizard. This menu option is added automatically by the module and allows you to begin uploading Excel files for bulk PO creation.
Upload Excel File
In the Import Purchase Orders wizard, choose the target company and upload your Excel file (.xls or .xlsx). Once uploaded, click Import to process and generate your purchase orders in bulk.
View Imported Purchase Orders
After importing, your new purchase orders appear instantly in the list view with all vendor, product, pricing, and scheduling details in place. You can now proceed with RFQ approval, validation, or further processingâdirectly from the Odoo interface.
Review Imported Purchase Order
Each imported purchase order opens in Odooâs standard form view, complete with all vendor details, product lines, taxes, quantities, and totals. From here, you can review, confirm, print, or send the RFQ directlyâensuring a smooth and traceable procurement flow.
