Smart Alerts
Smart Alerts is a flexible Odoo add-on that boosts workflow accuracy and compliance by showing context-aware, HTML-enabled banners on any recordâSales Orders, Invoices, Leads, Projects, and more. With simple, no-code configuration, you can target alerts by model, domain filters, user groups, and company, and even insert dynamic placeholders . An optional Block type enforces policies by preventing confirm/validate/post actions when rules are violated, ensuring teams act on the right information at the right moment.

Sale Order and Inventory
You can create a new alert or selecting an alert
1- Alert Title
⢠Enter a clear title for the alert.
2- Alert Description
⢠Provide a short description of the alert.
3- Document Type
⢠Select the document type where the alert will apply.
4- Alert Type
⢠Choose the type of alert to be triggered.
5- Access Rights
⢠Define which user groups can view or be affected by the alert.
6- Filters â Rule 1
⢠Type is equal to Journal Entry.
7- Filters â Rule 2
⢠Total is greater than 1000
8- Add New Rule
⢠Use this option to add more rules as required.
Go to Accounting - Journal Entries - New
An alert will be triggered when the entry type is Journal Entries and the amount exceeds 1,000.
You can configure multiple alert types: Danger, Warning, Info, Success, Block.
In this example, the document type is Sales Order, the alert type is Warning, and the rule specifies that if any product in the order lines contains âD-â, a warning message will be displayed.
If you add the product in the sales order in order lines you will that error message
When the document type is Scrap and the quantity exceeds 100, the system automatically triggers a Danger alert notifying the user: âYou are overstock.â
