- Maximum Amount Limit: Automatically disable COD for high-value orders to reduce risk.
- Real-Time Checkout Integration: The order total and fee line update instantly on the website checkout page when the customer selects Cash on Delivery.
- Accounting Ready: Fees are added as dedicated service lines on Sales Orders and Invoices for accurate bookkeeping.
Configuration
Easily configure your provider in Accounting > Configuration > Payment Providers:
- Select Cash on Delivery.
- Choose Fee Scope (Global or Per Country).
- Set Fee Type (Fixed or Percentage).

Why Choose This Module?
Standard Odoo COD does not support fee calculation out of the box. This module fills that gap, providing a professional and seamless experience for both you and your customers.

Configuration
To configure the Cash on Delivery payment provider, follow these steps:
Accessing Settings
- Navigate to Accounting or Invoicing.
- Go to Configuration > Payment Providers.
- Locate and click on Cash on Delivery.
Provider Configuration
In the payment provider form, ensure the state is set to Test or Enabled to make it available.
Fees Configuration
You can configure how the COD fee is calculated in the Configuration tab.
- COD Fee Scope
- Global: The same fee rules apply to all orders regardless of the customer's country.
- Per Country: Allows defining specific fee rules for individual countries, falling back to global settings if no specific rule exists.
- COD Fee Type
- Fixed: Adds a fixed monetary amount to the order total.
- Percentage: Adds a percentage of the order total as the fee.
- COD Fixed Fee / COD Percentage Fee
- Enter the amount or percentage value based on the chosen Fee Type.
- COD Maximum Amount
- Set a maximum order total allowed for COD payments.
- If the order total exceeds this amount, the Cash on Delivery option will be hidden from the customer.
- Set to 0.00 to disable this limit (allow any amount).
Per-Country Overrides
If COD Fee Scope is set to Per Country, a new tab or list "Per-Country COD Fees" will appear.
- Add a line to the Per-Country COD Fees list.
- Country: Select the country for this rule.
- Fee Type: Choose Fixed or Percentage for this specific country.
- Fee Amount/Percent: Enter the value.
These rules take precedence over the global settings for customers with addresses in the specified countries.
Website Availability
To make the payment method available on your eCommerce store:
- Set the State to Enabled (or Test Mode for testing).
- Ensure the provider is Published (toggle the "Unpublished" smart button at the top if present, or ensure "Website" field is set if applicable in your Odoo version).
Usage
E-Commerce Checkout
When a customer proceeds to checkout on the website:
- Selection: The customer selects "Cash on Delivery" as the payment method.
- Fee Calculation: The system automatically calculates the COD fee based on the configuration (Global or Country-specific).
- Total Update: The order summary updates immediately to show the "Cash on Delivery Fee" line and the new Total amount.
- Confirmation: Upon confirming the order, the fee is recorded as a service line item on the Sale Order.
Backend Sales Orders
The COD fee integration is primarily designed for the Website Sale checkout flow where the customer selects the provider.
- If an order is created manually in the backend, you would typically add the COD fee as a service line manually if required, or confirm the payment provider via a payment link flow if that triggers the provider logic.
Order Invoicing
The COD fee appears as a standard line item on the order (e.g., "Cash on Delivery Fee"). When the order is confirmed and invoiced, this fee is included in the invoice lines, ensuring correct accounting for the extra charge.
