Available in Odoo 17.0 Community and Enterprise.
Assign users with read-only access permissions to ensure they can view all necessary data and records without the ability to create, modify, or delete any information, thereby maintaining the integrity and security of the system.
This module enables the assignment of readonly access permissions to specified users.
In this module, you must first grant the user access to configured to control user permissions for creating, reading, updating, and deleting records.
Screenshots
Configure the user with view-only permissions, allowing them to view records only.
Go To Settings -> Select Users -> View-only permissions Access.
Admin Users Exempt from View-Only Access Restrictions.
Enforce data access restrictions on the user.
Record creation, modification, and deletion are disabled.
Triggering any button action will result in an access error.

We’ve verified the functionality on our end, and everything appears to be working correctly. It’s likely that the issue is related to user access rights.
Please ensure the user has been granted basic access rights for both the Sales and Purchase modules, along with Read-Only permissions. If no access rights are assigned for these modules, the user will not be able to open them.
