List View Density Toggle
Switch list views between comfortable and compact rows, Gmail-style
Just like Gmail's display-density setting, this module adds a one-click switch to your list views. Turn on compact to tighten the rows and see more records at once, or keep the roomy comfortable default — your choice is remembered everywhere.
More rows, one click
Comfortable (the Odoo default) is shown first, then compact — the same list, with noticeably more rows visible at a glance. Toggle between them from the list toolbar.
Key features
- ✓ A density toggle next to the optional-columns (cog) menu.
- ✓ Compact mode fits more rows; comfortable mode restores the default.
- ✓ Applies instantly across every open list view.
- ✓ Remembered between page reloads and sessions.
- ✓ Pure CSS density change — data, columns and inline editing are untouched.
How it works
- Open any list view and find the density button by the cog menu.
- Click it to switch to compact rows; click again for comfortable.
- Your choice follows you to every list and is remembered next time.
Compatibility
- ▸ Odoo 17.0 — Community & Enterprise.
- ▸ Depends only on the standard web module.
- ▸ Per-user preference stored in the browser — never affects other users.
Changes row density only — your data and the list columns are unchanged.
