Sprint Planning Tasks
Sprint and week planning for tasks
Extended project planning with sprints.
With our Sprint Planning modules, we expand the Odoo module landscape and offer you a possibility to plan your tasks and tickets in individual sprints and to ensure high performance for the achievement of goals within your projects through clear prioritization.
Decide for yourself whether you want to use sprint planning in the Project and Customer Service modules or only in the Project module.
Benefits
- Separate module in the Odoo menu for overview and management of all sprints
- Separate overview of the current sprint as well as all sprints with integrated search and filter function
- Freely selectable sprint period including a predetermined status to define the current sprint
- Assignment of project tasks and/or Helpdesk tickets to a sprint
- Navigation into project tasks and/or Helpdesk tickets from any overview
- Completion of a sprint and automated carry-over of open project tasks and/or Helpdesk tickets into the next sprint
What do you get?
With our Sprint Planning modules, you are able to assign tickets and tasks to a sprint and keep track of the current and future sprints at all times.
In order to use our Sprint module in the tickets and tasks, there are dependencies on the modules Helpdesk and Project Management. These two modules must therefore be installed in order to be able to use the sprint module. If you want to use the sprint planning only for tasks, it is possible to install the sprint module only for the project module.
After the installation, the Sprint module appears in your menu. Every user has access to the module.
Sprint Planning concentrates on the essential features and does not need any configuration.

How to use it?
1. Step - setting up a sprint
- When you open the sprint module, there are two menu items - the current sprint and the overview of all sprints.
- In the first step, you navigate to the latter overview and define your sprints.
- You give the sprint a name and determine whether you want to work in one-week or two-week sprints.
- In addition, you can specify the time period for the sprint.
- The field "Description" can optionally be used for a specification. After saving, your sprint is in the "Concept" stage. The current sprint is moved to the "In progress" stage.

2. Step - assigning tasks and/or tickets to a sprint
- Then you navigate to a ticket in the Customer Service module or to a task in the Project module.
- There you can find a new field "Sprint", in which the planned sprints for the tickets or tasks are stored.
- If you find that a required sprint has not yet been created, you can also create the sprint via this field.

3. Step - overview current sprint
- Now you have the current sprint "In progress" and all your tickets and tasks assigned to the sprint and a corresponding user.
- If you now navigate to the sprint module, all tasks or tickets from this sprint are displayed in the menu item "Current sprints".
- Odoo sets a filter on the current user so that each user only sees their tickets and tasks.
- In addition, information on time recording and the progress of the tasks is also displayed.
- This serves as a basis for the user to keep track of his tasks, to organise them self and to work through the tasks according to prioritisation.

4. Step - sprint planning
- Under the menu item "All Sprints" you now also have a clear display.
- Here, the tickets and tasks of all users for the selected sprint are displayed in a separate tab.
- In addition, you see two smart buttons that lead you to a list view of the tickets or tasks grouped by user.
- These overviews are ideal for internal meetings for sprint planning or scheduled update meetings.

5. Step - closing a sprint
- At the end of a sprint you have the possibility to close the sprint.
- To do this, you can find a button "Close Sprint" in the sprint.
- A click on this button opens a pop-up in which you define what happens to the tickets and tasks that have not yet been completed.

The conclusion of a sprint
- You can move the open tickets and tasks into an existing sprint or into a new sprint.
- Odoo looks at the defined stages in the projects.
- All tickets and tasks that are in a closed state are not moved to the next sprint.
- All tickets and tasks that are still open are transferred directly to the next sprint.
- Furthermore, the completed sprint is automatically moved to the "Completed" stage.
As already mentioned at the beginning, the sprint module offers you a very great benefit with comparatively few resources. Only the creation of the sprints and the allocation of tickets and tasks to the sprints enable you to plan and prioritise the upcoming tasks in a transparent and clear way. In addition, you can access the tickets and projects from any overview in the module. The standard features for searching, grouping and favourites are also available to you in the overviews. This way, the effort for internal arrangements as well as the long search for tickets and tasks is reduced and the efficiency in the performance of customer support as well as within internal and external projects is significantly increased.
