Validation of foreign VAT number for Odoo
This module allows german companies to validate VAT numbers of eu member states with the api (eVatR) of the German Federal Ministry of Finance.
Setting your company VAT
Navigate to the Settings → Users & Companies → "Your Company" and set your german VAT.
Configure VAT check
Navigate to the General Settings → Accounting. Here you can configure with which method you want to check your VAT numbers. This module adds the eVatR method and can be configured to use one of two modes. Simple checks only the VAT number, extended checks additionally the company name, city and zip.
Checking and Documentation
After the module has been configured, a check is performed and documented in the message history when the following data is changed:
- when creating a contact
- for each change of the VAT ID
- for the change of the company name
- for the change of address (city and/or zip code)
Verification on sales and procurement orders
The module contains two additional modules, one for sales orders and the other for purchase orders. They ensure that when a sales or purchase order is confirmed, the VAT ID of the partner is checked again in accordance with German law and documented for the respective object.
USt-IdNr. - Check für Deutschland
Dieses Modul ermöglicht deutschen Unternehmen die Validierung von USt-IdNr. von EU-Mitgliedsstaaten mit der Schnittstelle (eVatR) des deutschen Bundeszentralamt für Steuern.
USt-IdNr. konfigurieren
Navigieren Sie zu den Einstellungen → Benutzer & Firmen → "Ihre Firma" und stellen Sie Ihre deutsche UStr-IdNr. ein.
USt-IdNr. Check konfigurieren
Navigieren Sie zu den Allgemeinen Einstellungen → Finanzen. Hier können Sie konfigurieren, mit welcher Methode Sie die USt-IdNr. überprüfen wollen. Dieses Modul fügt die eVatR-Methode hinzu und kann so konfiguriert werden, dass es einen von zwei Modi verwendet. Bei der einfachen Methode wird nur die USt-IdNr. geprüft, bei der erweiterten Methode zusätzlich der Firmenname, der Ort und die Postleitzahl.
Prüfung und Dokumentation
Nach der Konfiguration des Moduls wird bei der Änderung folgender Daten eine Prüfung durchgeführt und in der Nachrichtenhistorie dokumentiert:
- beim Anlegen eines Kontaktes
- bei jeder Änderung der USt-IdNr.
- bei der Änderung des Firmennamens
- bei der Änderung der Anschrift (Ort und/oder Postleitzahl)
Prüfung bei Verkaufs- und Beschaffungsaufträgen
Bei der Bestätigung eines Verkaufs- bzw. Beschaffungsauftrags wird entsprechend dem deutschen Recht noch mal eine Prüfung der USt-IdNr. des Partners stattfinden und am jeweiligen Objekt dokumentiert.
